Sorry but what exactly do you like about Joe Allen, he is by far our worst midfielder, and I'm including Shelvey?

I think it's really great the way some fans give New players a full season before ripping into them.

Go back to the first 2-3 months of the season and watch Allen again - he is having a poor run of fun and what he needs is support and confidence.

Shame in recent years certain fans feel unwilling to give that to anyone

He was ok at the start of the season but how many times lately does he get the ball taken off him in embarassing rookie fashion, or he mispasses the ball, at this precise moment he is complete and utter garbage as a player and for th emoney he's earning and the fee he cost I won't give him time to "improve slowly".

"I won't give him time"

And that sort of statement sums up you as a Liverpool "fan" and fan in the very loosest terms possible.

Go support Chelsea or something - they have zero paitence and football knowledge as well - you will fit right in

Average keeper. He has his moments but he's mostly average. There are better keepers that we can go for.

He didn't even play in the last world cup for them because Mexico preferred a very average keeper over him.  Mexican people love him, but he's just not that good.

We keep being linked to Emenike.  From what I understand, he's still facing charges for match fixing, which if found guilty, would land him in prison for a few years.

Reina could go as for one I assume he is a high earner and secondly would attract a
decent fee for his age, all things that smell like 'out' for FSG.

If he wants to stay, which is questionable, he will have to play like a top earner and
prove he is still value for money and regrettably he has not done that in the past year
or two.

There will be no sentiment and if they think there is better value deal, some would
suggest asset stripping, he will be be moved out in the summer.

In response to my own comments he played like a top keeper at Wigan today, superb
he was.

Turned back the clock so more of the same please.

From the "Metro" (London)

Liverpool want to thrash out a pre-contract deal with Keisuke Honda over a summer switch to Anfield.

The versatile CSKA Moscow attacker is out-of-contract at the end of the season, and Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is allowed to approach the player now over a summer transfer.

Honda, who has 41 caps for Japan and is considered one of their best ever European exports, had been in talks with CSKA over an extension to his current deal, but with less than four months left to run, the club have confirmed he has ended negotiations and wants to move on.

‘We tried to extend his contract, but we can’t force him,’ confessed director Roman Babaev.

‘It is up to him what happens next.’

Reports in Russia suggest that the news has opened the door for Liverpool, who have been watching the situation carefully, and now believe they have a clear run for the player.

It’s thought Liverpool will sound out Honda for talks in the next few weeks, with the club keen to gauge his interest in a move to England, and if a deal can be brokered.

Honda does not fit with Rodgers’ mantra of buying young, English talent, but given that the 26-year-old would be a free agent in the summer, he represents a bargain that is difficult to turn down.

Fast, technical and able to play in any forward position, Honda has nine goals in 22 matches for CSKA this season – his best tally since his move from VVV Venlo in 2010.

Arsenal and Tottenham were both previously interested in the player.

Name rings a bell but can't recall seeing him play, anybody know him ?

Yea he was pretty impressive for Japan in the last World Cup, really skillful play maker type, but we seem to have quite a few of these on our books now, so if hes coming in id expect somelike Downing or Assaidi to move on.

He was pretty good in the World Cup. I'd sign him for the right wages.

Yes it would, why else did United have Ji Sung Park in their side for so long? He helped in the Asian market, and now that so many Koreans are united fans, they were done with him.  They day the singed Kagawa to go after the Japanese fans was the day they got rid of Park because they didn't need him anymore, they'd sucked every bit of income they were going to get from him.  The idea with Kagawa (and a reason I really wanted us to go after him) was that he could not only sell shirts in Asia like crazy, but he's actually a useful player.  Although I must say other than his random hat trick yesterday, he's been pretty much useless for united.
