I wouldn't compare Enrique with other LBs but I think that he's a solid player and it would be hard to replace him at the moment.

However he is younger than all 3

Cole 32
Evra 31
Baines 28
Enrique 27

Its only his second season here and has had a few injuries.

That's kinda what I was getting at.  Rather have him than the 2 that are one 30.

Fiorentina have confirmed they are interested in Fabio Borini but doubt whether Liverpool will let him leave.

The Serie A club are looking for a new forward ahead of next season and have been linked with a number of players, including Borini and Pablo Osvaldo of Roma.

Borini, who is currently sidelined with a shoulder injury, has struggled to make an impact at Anfield since his arrival last summer.

Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade has refused to rule anything out, although he is not sure if Roma would sell Osvaldo to a domestic rival and is realistic about their chances of landing Borini.

He told Radio Toscana admits: "We seek a striker with a hunger for goals in their DNA, a player who lives for the goal.

"We like Fabio Borini, but it's hard to see that Liverpool will let him go.

"Osvaldo? I don't think Roma would reinforce a direct competitor like us, but you must never say that a deal is impossible, even if now it's cheaper to buy players abroad."

from sly sports

he's young, and could easily come good, butit we could get back what we paid for him... or even make a small profit, I'd be tempted.....

Even better use him as a makeweight for jovetic!

I doubt Rodgers will sell him and to be honest he's not had a chance to prove himself yet.

I think there is a decent chance Borini may be packed off back to Italy
this summer and cut our losses.

Thats nothing, I think Roma had him on contract for less than a month
and took the money from us  :D

Without selling anyone, I think we need at least one CB, A starting midfielder, cover at striker, and cover at gk. If Reina leaves, we need a starting GK. I would like to see us buy players in the age range of 23-27 that are already experienced. The bulk of this should be spent on the midfielder. I really like Joe Allen and I think he will come good, but for 15mil we could have gotten Dembele or Diame (for much less than 15m).

Sorry but what exactly do you like about Joe Allen, he is by far our worst midfielder, and I'm including Shelvey?

I think it's really great the way some fans give New players a full season before ripping into them.

Go back to the first 2-3 months of the season and watch Allen again - he is having a poor run of fun and what he needs is support and confidence.

Shame in recent years certain fans feel unwilling to give that to anyone

He was ok at the start of the season but how many times lately does he get the ball taken off him in embarassing rookie fashion, or he mispasses the ball, at this precise moment he is complete and utter garbage as a player and for th emoney he's earning and the fee he cost I won't give him time to "improve slowly".
