Forget all the bull about not signing "old" players, Sneijders got at least 3-4 good seasons left in him and if that in the short term helps restore us to a place in the top four at least I'm all for it.

Sneijder instead of Allen , Shelvey or Henderson, any day of the week.

Agreed, tbh. I can well understand the concerns about him re. wages and motivation following some apparent shenanigans at Inter and in light of the Cole experience, however this guy was one of the best midfielders in Europe, possibly the best player in his position, only a few years ago and I can't believe he's just suddenly lost it and is destined to be another mercinary age 28.  If anyone had said we had a chance of signing this guy even a season ago you would have looked like a f'ucking lunatic, or worse...lakes10. You would need to interview him and carry out all the necessary checks, but let's not pretend we wouldn't look at him if we had a chance....he is infinitely more talented than Henderson, Allen and Shelvey.

No new Ince news? What has happened to the 'done deal' reported earlier in here?

we are only interested in players that rodgers wants and they dont include big name players.
at this stage id be surprised if he signs anything over the age of 23. we already had our captain who knows more about this club than any of those two, coming out and saying he doesnt approve of the transfer policy we have.
i tend to agree with him.
if we keep on signing young lads who are going to take a few years to bed in and "maybe" become stars then over the next season or two we will lose the experienced players we have and face another rebuild.

i wish the club would just stop f##king around and go out and sign that diame, when a midfield pairing of michael carrick and tom cleverly take the p1$$ out of your 3 man midfield you know you desperately need a dominant midfielder, and that diame is the closest thing to patrick viera i`ve seen since the frenchman hung up his boots.

Then they are both a bunch of C&*ts in my opinion, well Ian Ayre is incomeptent as well. Why on earth would you not move heaven and earth to get someone of Sneijder's ability but be willing to look like a pr1ck resigning a promising yongster for the same amount of money?

he seems to be highly rated, decent on the deck and really good in the air
recently linked with AC Milan, Lazio, Bruges and Hoffenheim
sounds promising.

same amount of money?  Sneijder wants 250k a week in wages and even Manure walked away at those prices.
