van der vart reignited himself at spurs so i dont see a reason why wes couldnt do the same.
i dont think we should have a priority on another midfielder but we could do with one that is creative and schneider fits that mould for me and if he's available then why not.

we`d just be signing a name imo, we`d get the name but not the player like when we signed morientes and riedle a few years ago.
i`d rather we threw all our efforts (and those wages) into signing diame from west ham.

He is not too old and maybe has a point to prove.
Just another view point.

Forget all the bull about not signing "old" players, Sneijders got at least 3-4 good seasons left in him and if that in the short term helps restore us to a place in the top four at least I'm all for it.
Sneijder instead of Allen , Shelvey or Henderson, any day of the week.

the fee being talked about is €10.mil which is what £7 stg and that isnt a lot for a player of his reputation. il agree he's gone stale at inter and they are also nothing like the team they were under mourinho, so maybe a move will reignite him.he's not the type of player that will get stuck into challenges left right and centre but he is an excellent free kick taker, will get more goals than most of our midfield and he will clock up assists for everyone else.
give him a signing on fee to combat the wage drop and a contract where both parties can have an opt out after a period if it isnt working.
i fully believe that he'd be heading to manure this window only for he cant stand van persie and if he's good enough for them then i cant see why he wouldnt be for us.
young players aspire to play and learn from the greats of the game and thats what brings them on to the next level. we paid 15mil for allen, 12 for borini and 12 for sturridge so this fee isnt a problem for us.
by the time this window is over we could spend a lot more for much less

apparently a journo has twittered that brendan rodgers said to the press corps today that we have no interest in signing wesley schneider.
after moving cole and sahin out (and even morgan who was on the fringes of the squad) if we do only bring sturridge and ince in during this window we wont have really strengthened in terms of numbers.
that james pierce who writes for the echo said that he cant see us bringing in anyone else apart from sturridge and ince so it seems fsg like this idea of us having a skeleton squad.
