They want us to bring through youth players and if those youth players start to leave, it means that they only see us a stepping stone to better things. If we cannot tie a 17 year old academy graduate down to a professional contract, then why on earth will some of the world's biggest hitters want to play for us?
We'll essentially become just another feeder club.

What do you suggest we do then? Let a 17 yr old kid hold us to ransom and give him whatever he wants?
If him or his agents are asking for something ridiculous then they can f*ck right off.
We're still LFC for ***** sake, the fact that a 17 yr old who only played youth team football a couple of years ago and has frankly got only 1 goal in the league thinks he can hold us to ransom and that some of you think that FSG should give him whatever he wants is ludicrous.
Playing for LFC at 17 years old should be a privilege, If Sterling is stalling on signing what will still be quite a lucrative package for someone so young he obviously has no respect for the shirt
