13 in 18 so far this season. He's not exactly established though. Would be nice to see him back but it's a bit of a gamble imo if those are going to be our only 2 signings.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

Some of these names being banded about can be chosen from the comfort of your armchair
so I do hope our highly paid scouts are earning their corn and start digging up these hidden
gems on their travels.

Blackpool is quite close to where I live, the feeling at the moment is Ince's recent performances suggest his head his elsewhere.
He reminds me a bit of Suso, but scores goals, albeit at Championship level.
However, if we let him go for next to nothing, would it make sense to pay decent money to get him back?

Where is this "letting him go for nothing" coming from?

He rejected our contract offer and chose to leave. Some would say a sensible move at the time because at the time neither Hodgson or Kenny were interested in playing him.

Correct he wanted out and we let him. There was no chance of him getting game time under kenny.

Not sure he is what we need right now tho

Daniel Sturridge is demanding a staggering £80,000 a week to move to Liverpool in January.

The Reds have already asked Chelsea about their reserve striker’s availability, and look set to follow up their interest, which dates back to the summer, in the winter transfer window.

There is a feeling at Anfield, however, that Sturridge has done little in the last 12 months to justify such big wages since his fine start to last season.

Back then, he scored 10 goals playing wide in an attacking three under Andre Villas-Boas.

But since last December, he has scored just five times for the European Champions.

The 23-year-old’s camp also insist he MUST play through the middle if he were to move to Liverpool next month.

Liverpool are keen not to repeat the financial mistakes of past windows after big signings Andy Carroll, Jordan Henderson and Stewart Downing struggled to make any sort of impact.

Liverpool are considering a £12million January bid for West Brom striker Shane Long. Reds boss Brendan Rodgers worked with Long when the pair were at Reading. (Daily Star)

Jesus out of all the players we've been linked with only Walcott would actually bring something to the table. Rodgers really has to set his sights a bit higher, though the position we're in at the minute doesn't give us great bargaining power

Arsenal Mania seem certain that Theo is off
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Why is every player we sign has to have worked with BR?

All out for walcott played in a strikers role week in week out he will be amazing

Because journalists are lazy.

In the summer Rodgers had no scouting team to work with but we now have a team in place that came over from Man City so I expect we’ll be more creative with our targets.

I'd be more than happy if we could get Demba Ba and Theo Walcott.

Ba is worth a punt if his 7.5mil buyout is still active in January I think.

Wouldn't want Sturridge or Walcott, neither are worth the wages we'd have to pay.

And it does beg the question what the fu.ck is are scouting system at?  Only linked with Premiership players so far (IF these rumours have substance) - notoriously the worst value for money of any league, so overhyped it's ridiculous.

Get the fu.cking scouts over to Spain, Germany, Holland and France. Buying established names is not the way to go.  Doing my head in these rumours at the moment.

There are some terrific footballers if you know what your looking at and
hopefully this scout network will do excatly that.

You only have to look at Ajax and Dortmund play football to see that, sides
put together for a fraction of the cost of their Champs league opponents but
playing Man City off the park and running Real Madrid ragged.

Those are the type of deals we need, and the culture we need to cement at
Anfield, and for the love of God please do not line the pockets of over hyped
Premiership players who cannot get games at Chelsea and Arsenal.

I will be fuming if we go down that road again, these players are shat and so
is that big lump Ba and all but Newcastle love bending us over in January
window.

If we buy Sturridge for the reported 16m and pay him 80k/week, I'll be absolutely furious. We would be idiots to pay that much for an unproven player who can't get a game at Chelsea.

I think Walcott is a good player. If we can get him at a decent price, I'd say he's worth a punt even at the high wages he's demanding. He would be perfect for one of the wide roles in a 4-3-3.

Demba Ba. Please no. He seems like a total mercenary c*nt.

Although I pray, pray, we will be signing players from the German/Dutch/French/Spanish league. Enough of this premiership player garbage.
