Yes 3 months. He got injured in October with the first month taking us into November, the second month taking us into December, and the third and final month taking us into January, the month I was referring to and the month we will be able to buy players. I’m not sure why that is so hard for you to comprehend.

And I’m not sure why you feel the need to be abusive.

thats who we should be going for, someone like him.
personally at this stage of his career i think he`d jump at the chance to play for a big club in england like us. i dont think the lack of CL football would be a huge problem. he`s over 30 and if he went to a city, united or chelsea he`d probably spend a lot of time on the bench and at his age i cant see him being interested in that.
we could be the perfect fit for him, huge club with some top players (suarez, gerrard, agger, sahin, lucas, etc) and he`d be pretty much guarentee`d a place in the starting XI.
the prem itself is a big draw, having never played in this country before (and having played in spain, italy and germany) i`m sure he`d want to try his hand in england before his career`s over.

For one thing he is only 29

He is turning down a contract because he wants a big pay day and to go to a big club in the CL and win some trophies.

So pretty much the opposite of what you suggest.

That's what he's said aye?
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

On that Bundasliga recap thing on Espn - feels he has unfinished business at a big club after it didn't work at Milan or Madrid.

Bayern would be a good shout - PSG maybe

We don't need a LB or a CB for that matter. Especially if the purse strings are tight. Two strikers would suffice.

Yea I'm perfectly happy with the long contracts we just gave to Skrtel and Agger.  I still love how Johnson plays are RB, and with Enrique seemingly coming back hopefully he can reproduce the form he showed int he first half of last season and we'll be just fine in the back.

First of all I have to say Benny the Noon stop being so negative!

Huntelaar is an ideal signing for Liverpool.
As much as the owners are looking at younger players for the long term future of the club, I think they are astute enough as business men to realise that sometimes you also have to spend to secure the short term future as well................. therefore sign HUNTELAAR.

Most would also like 2 strikers signed in January.
The second striker could be younger with some potential.
This could be someone like Gary Hooper (if cheap) or I would love if we tried for Van Wolfswinkel (might be too expensive though).
Another option would be Walcott or Sturridge, both could be cheaper due to contracts.
Walcott may not be exactly a poacher type option but if Huntelaar is signed, he would still be a great option to have

Agree, Huntelaar would take us to a whole new level and Cooper or Wolfswinkel would be a good addition to the squad. Not sure about Wallcott and Sturridge though, good option from a footballing side but perhaps financially too greedy and disruptive to the squad.

There is no point in buying 2 strikers in January especially if one is going to be a young and up and coming one.

Brendan likes a 4-3-3 and the current players we currently have for those positions are

Suarez
Borini
Yesil
Pacheco
Downing
Assaidi
Sterling
Suso
Carroll.

If we signed say huntelaar he would want to start and he warrants a place. Along with Suarez.

You now find yourself in a position where you have 4 or 5 players getting unhappy with the amount of game time

Make another signing for those positions things get a lot worse. Ok downing Carroll probably won't be here next year but still.

you see that list there...      Suarez, Sterling, Suso, Assaidi  are all good enough right now to play in every game.

Totally agree and adding more competition is always a good thing.

@ LFC1990

With just Huntelaar in January:-

Main striker role: HUNTELAAR, Borini
Wing forwards: Suarez, Sterling, Suso, Assaidi

The scum have 4 top strikers for generally 2 positions so 6 forwards for 3 positions seems ok.
Lets be honest out of those 6 you would only say Huntelaar and Suarez are top notch who could demand a place (not that any player should make such demands).
Carroll and Downing will be gone soon if Rodgers has his way.
Yesil not quite ready yet and won't be demanding a place as well.
Pacheco, I'm not quite convinced he is gonna make it at all now
