Could be very significant for us if true.

Agreed, with all due respect to the Red Sox, we have a much bigger global appeal and potential to grow on and off the field with the right investment

We've got 2 new scouts from Manchester City joining us. Hopefully they will be able to identity players for us to swoop for come Jan 2013 who could help improve our starting 11.

I don't see how you can possibly think that's good for LFC. What's so special about that?

You're a miserable barsteward who does nothing but moan and bitch at everybody's posts so I'm not concern that that's not special or positive for you.

Instead of selling the Boston Red Sox, why don't these Owners sell us to owners who are willing to offer some form of investment into the team because we need it. Of course this reads to others as "we need a sugar daddy for this supporter, he just wants instant success". Not true and I will not tolerate that being levelled at me.

Can't understand how you people can blame this on the owners

Easy, for starters they're American. So naturally they're idiots and secondly I find their ownership of our club repugnant with how a modern, contemporary football club should be run.

If we're throwing around insults, you are comfortably the biggest whopper on this forum at present.

Yes it's disgusting how they managed to save us from administration and refuse to pile debt onto the club.

I think the owners saved us from a huge debt, did they not...

Yes they saved us from going under administration but like Kenny, they've done their part and his part respectively in helping the club right at the time when the club needed them the most. Now that those problems are over, it is time for them to leave the job to someone else to complete the difficult task of bringing back the glory that Liverpool always deserves.

BR I believe is the right man to bring Liverpool forward but if we have owners who are not rich enough to invest heavily, then BR hands are pretty much tied. Some of us including myself at one time blamed Kenny for wasting all the funds leaving BR with not much to spend on. But if we looked at the net spend during Kenny's tenure, it was not more than 40 million but I still stand by the fact that he made some s.hitty signings. But net spending, he hadn't done much damage. So I would put the bulk of our scoring problem on the owners who are either too stingy or too poor to make the necessary investment. Probably John H. has too many ex wives to support and maybe Werner has just as many as well.

I know it could be early days, but I think FSG should sell us to someone who can provide the funds. They must leave our club.

By weighing a sale of the Red Sox, Henry could devote more resources to the Liverpool team. Also, unloading Liverpool is considered more difficult compared with a franchise with the name recognition of the Red Sox, despite its lousy 2012 season.

"Name recognition of the Red Sox."  :help  The willful ignorance of some Americans to the absolute dominance of football as a global sporting entity never ceases to amaze me.
