if we have an injury to suarez though thommo we are well f**ked, borini is 21 and morgan is nowhere near ready to play, he ran around like a loon yesterday kicking everyone, obviously the occasion was too much for him and that was a game against a mid table scottish outfit who are about championship/league 1 standard.
the good thing is suarez is not injury prone but then again until last season lucas had never had an injury of note in his whole career.
if we dont lose suarez we`ll be okay, the likes of sterling, gerrard, downing, assaidi, borini can all fill the wide positions in the front 3.

We weren't prepared to pay £6 million for Clint Dempsey?! Seriously?! Unbelievable. The club has gone from one extreme to another. If the owners think this is going to bring success to the club, they need to think again. Loaning out Andy Carroll without a replacement was another mistake. We are so light up front. It's unbelievable we didn't buy one single player on deadline day. We are miles behind the top 3 and will be lucky to finish in the top 6. Disgusted.

Why the doom and gloom?
Be positive. We have a batch of new players and a new manager
We have got rid of most of the deadwood and have a good blend of youth and experience.
Get behind the lads and stop moaning FFS!

Rodgers and Ayre knew the budget months ago. I don’t have a problem with FSG not providing additional funds at the last minute. But they are ultimately responsible for the men who have managed that budget, Rodgers and Ayre. So if things go tits up this season then we have to question their ability to put the right people in the right positions. IMO Ayre is a little over his head. Not sure he is cut out to be an MD.

So if Suarez is our only striker, I'm guessing we'll be concentrating only on the league. Surely we're not planning to play Suarez in every game in all competitions.

I think the Dempsey doo dah is because of Liverpool reporting that they had signed him earlier. Fulham are miffed with Liverpool so they could have said ok spurs you can have him for £6 million and Liverpool, you can have him for £12 million.
I dont believe for a second Liverpool wouldnt cough up £6 million.

werner said not long ago that the funds are there if needed, considering how light we are up front i think the funds were definately needed.

It's Dempsey's age that was probably the issue. Also I don't think he was the number one choice today. I suspect they were trying to get Sturridge on loan but it didn't happen.

We have the words of a manager who clearly stated his team needed help in terms of new additions. We have gotten rid of players allright but not replaced them!

If FSG are not up to it, they should do us all a favor and sell up!

You cannot be seriously talking about self sufficiency when u are in a hole!
