RBG, I'll be fully on FSG's backs right along with you if that situation doesn't get rectified (a striker)  How f.ucking badly has BR and Ayres f.ucked this all up.  Look at the first team on the offal right now.  We haven't got a legit 18 man roster to put out of true first team players.

Granted I'm in panic mode right now so my judgement may be negatively clouded.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

FSG have given BR and IA a budget to work within, looks like £30mil plus player sales. It's up to BR to decide what the priorities are. Can't just blame FSG for everything.

The lack of quality players coming in is a big disappointent. It appears our bids in the transfer market don't meet the valuation of the selling clubs. It doesn't sound like the actions of a club who have ambitions of being in the top 4. Together with the departure of several players this week, the squad is weaker than last season, and a lot weaker than the top 3 clubs. A top 6 finish will now seem to be a big ask of Brendan Rodgers.

quote from RAWK:

If Kenny/Comolli spent 35 million pounds on a world class striker not Andy Carroll no one would be complaining. FSG made the money available.

If Kenny/Comolli spent 20 million pounds on a world class winger not Stewart Downing no one would be complaining. FSG made the money available.

If Kenny/Comolli spent 16-20 million pounds on a world class midfielder not Jordan Henderson no one would be complaining. FSG made the money available.

We could have a very very strong team.

I fail to see what FSG have done wrong.

They've tightened their pockets seemingly. I don't like it, but i understand it. For me, this is not FSG's fault

============

Agree with the sentiment, but i honestly think they should fork out a little more for a striker here

You dont quibble over £2m for Dempsey though and lose him to a rival who are going for it tonight, that is shyte regardless.

No matter what they have spent there will be questions asked if nothing happens in next hours or so, many questions.

@ Good Yank

Its looking highly unlikely the reds will sign a striker before the deadline mate ,so I'm assuming offering a derisory 4 million for Dempsey didn't have the desired
effect . Im personally not fussed about not signing Dempsey ,but I really thought we could get Sturridge with some persuasion .

Sorry about the slightly impersonal way I'm answering posts mate ,it just seems a lot less cluttered than the awful quoting system .

No problem RBG mate.  I'm to fooking livid to care about the quoting system right now.  Total Fooking shambles.  Our best player (Suarez) can't hit the net, Borini is unproven.  Well then we go to a German U-17 and a local lad who looked like a deer in headlights in the Europa league.  Fook me I'm just up in arms ATM.

I don't agree if it's over a couple of million for Dempsey.

Maybe the Moroccan lad we've signed could play through the middle.

shocking. absolutely shoking.

If the money wasn't there for dempsey (confirmed £6m to spurs) then why let Carroll go? WHY?

I don't care if he doesn't "fit" or that he is a £35m man on the bench.

If Suarez gets injured - who leads the line? - Adam Morgan with Ecaleston coming off the bench??

Fuming.

If we dont have the money - don't get rid of carroll / maxi / kuyt!

How can u sack KD, hire a young manager, and wholly adopt his new philosophy and then not back him in the txfer market, and whats worse after getting rid of players who u adjudge to not fit into the new system?

If they knew they were not going to spend money, then they should've stuck with KD and the team he was building.

If they don't have money to fund the project they might as well sell up!

IF Suarez starts hitting the target more

IF we get no injuries to our current crop of 2 strikers

IF all the others chip in with goals

IF IF IF

They're all big IF's.

I'd feel better if we had another stiker so that the IF's didn't have to all be true for us to be okay

I suspect they may well sell if the stadium plans continue to stall and the team doesn't improve under BR.

sgs.. The most infurriating thing to me, at this point, is that they do have the money.  Don't think for a second that our owners don't have the money.  They do.  It's just them sticking to this "Liverpool has to be self sufficient" philosophy that is coming to the fore right now.
