Yes they do have only Torres as the other recognized striker after Lukaku went on loan but seeing the way they are set up, they only play with one striker in a 4-2-3-1 formation. The 3 players behind Torres last night were Hazard, Mata and Ramires. They will also have Marin back in time to come as well as Oscar who operates just behind the striker. Not too sure about the status of Benayoun, Malouda and Kakuta but they do have another young striker Lucas Piazon who can play as a striker as well. I don't think RDM rates Sturridge at all to be honest, seeing how little time he's been playing after the Italian took over AVB. Besides, Chelsea lodged a 35m bid for Cavani apparently.

i used to rate sturridge when he was at bolton but i dont think he has kicked on from there, i`m not a huge fan of him these days.
i dont think he`s ever going to be a prolific goalscorer, maybe chelsea have the same opinion.
i liked the look of that fella who played for sami`s leverkusen up front, not sure of his name but he was all action and had a bit of skill too, he looked like he`d suit rodgers playing philosophy perfectly.

Have to agree about Sturridge. He is not clinical and is not a team player. He had a number of chances last season to play Torres in for open goals but chose to attempt the difficult shot every single time.

In my opinion, the arrogance of Chelsea has gotten to him and his progress has suffered as a result.

I also hope that BR is not considering him and that these are only rumors in the media.

Hot of the press, Fulham have made an official complaint to the FA about comments made by a Liverpool FC Official with regards to Clint Dempsey. FA to investigate.

Hilarious that they complain about that... Rogers was really respectful in the way he's dealt with players.  Just because Dempsey went rogue, they blame it on us.  If we get in trouble for this than the FA is truly after us, because every manager has done something like this, and more likely have been worse.

Exactly, it's just getting stupid now, and I don't want rogue players at our club.

what the hell is going on with sahin? first it was reported that he was coming here and it was a 100% done deal, then the next minute it`s 100% certain that he`s going to arsenal, but now it`s apparently all up in the air again with some journo`s saying he`s going to arsenal and some saying he`s signing for us!
wtf?

No idea either :D Apparently Arsenal wants to make it a permanent signing but Real and Sahin are unwilling to do so hence why Liverpool is a better option. But Arsenal can provide ECL and it's probably more tempting to play at Arsenal seeing the quality players they have. I also heard they are offering 15m for Jesus Navas if I'm not wrong.

Why is it that whenever Arsenal go in for a player, nobody tries to hijack it away from them?  I mean we had the Sahin thing I guess, but seriously, they had no fight for Podolski, Giroud or Carzorla this summer, and no for Arteta when they were chasing him.  The reason they pulled from Hazard is because they realized they couldn't get him for £15 million...

I wish that was the case for us, instead of arsenal, spurs, united or chelsea trying to steal all of our purchases.  Especially f*cking spurs

That's obviously because Arsenal have a better structure compared to us. Look at the Joe Allen deal for example. We were linked to him for a month before we finally got him. Whereas Arsenal are clean and tidy, they swoop for their targets and get them without any fuss because they have what we don't - decisiveness.

He just needs some coaching.
Plus he can play on the right side of attack as well as striker so he's dynamic in that sense and offers a lot more up front than what we presently have.
But then again, we're pretty Sh*t up front anyway.
No idea which player that is, do you remember his jersey number or something?

Moses just passed medical at chelsea so maybe there is some truth in the sturridge rumour.
