How was Johnson’s imaginary birthday party? Have fun did you?

I'll keep it simple, just for you, it wasn't a birthday party it was a family get together and he wasn't even there. My family have been friends with his mum long before he kicked a ball. It just so happened that on the same weekend we had the get together it was Adams birthday on the Saturday.

it's easy to follow, please do try to keep up.

Johnson would be awesome. Regular game time would bring him on a mile...

He won't join us. We're far too slow in the transfer market and will end up with some sub standard player who would cost a ridiculous amount.

I have a really bad feeling about Adam Johnson. I just don't understand why we aren't spending the money on a striker. That's what we need now most of all.

Unless BR is super confident that borini will get the goals as a central striker and wants to play Adam johnson and Suarez alongside him, I think we should be looking at a main striker first.

As is, Johnson, I wonder if he's up to all the pressing and defending Rodgers would want a player do. Somehow just seems like a lazy, partying downing with a few more tricks in his bag. Hope I'm wrong

We are favourites to sign him and I think we will sign him.

If you read the BBC report it says Liverpool and Spurs have registered an interest since Sunderlands offer...   load of tosh. Liverpool enquired about him last month, twice!  As for spurs, well I'm not sure how true that is either as they have 2 wingers and he'd be not much better off TBH. He would fit into the team quite well here but then theres the old 'return to the north east' quote that gets banded around.

every chance but I can't get any info from his folks, I've emailed them too but nothing yet. I'm on it though. When his mam was asked the question Sunderland or Liverpool she didn't even hesitate with an answer... Liverpool.

I rarely speak with Adam himself mate to be honest but I am in touch with his family a lot more these days. lets hope she gets back to me soon. I'm beside myself here thinking of the matches I'll get tickets for ha ha

Benfica midfielder Nolito has emerged as a potential transfer target for Liverpool, according to reports in Portugal.

Nolito joined the Portuguese giants last summer from Spanish side Barcelona and managed 11 goals in 29 league appearances in his debut season for Benfica.

However, reports in Portuguese newspaper Record claim the 25-year-old is desperate to depart Benfica and Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is believed to be keen.

The Spaniard is under contract with Benfica until 2016 and has a £39million buy-out clause in his deal but the Portuguese outfit may make Nolito available for loan if it becomes clear the player sees his future elsewhere.

PMSL !!  :D
