Around 5 million or less and wingers...

El Zahr, Gonzales, Pennant. As soon as we are linked with quality like Mata, Joaquin silva etc we go back to taking some on the cheap spending a fortune of central mids instead.

Not that I'm knocking Brendan Rogers scouting skills... but I think what Penguins means is due to him being so cheap, unless he is a diamond in the rough he is less likely to impress than say someone who is more established, proven quality ect... No need to just insult someone off the bat. It's a perfectly legitimate argument and tbh it's the reason our squad is so mediocre. Cos we have bought far too much shyte, and last season overpaid for much of it.

He is calling the player El Zhar mk 2 before he has even kicked a ball.

We got him cheap because he had a year left on his contract. Players like RvP were a couple mil , how much was Sami ?

Time will tell Benny, but at the moment it looks like old habits die hard.

I just hope yesterday was an opening day blip and we get it together sooner rather than later.

Man City hmmm Have they bought a winger under 20 million?
Manure? Nani, Valencia, Young all 15-20 million players
Chelski?  Hazard, Mata etc 20 million+
Arsenal? Cazorla, Podolski, Gervinh 12-20 million.

And we continue on with "this kind of longshots" and expect results....
These are the players that are going to terrify the defense, create things and we wonder why we are having problems...
