Could be, but it is Ben Smiths piece.

Fark's sake... Spudz shelling out 12m on a defender, while we're emptying the piggy bank to buy a cut-price 21 year old Italian who didn't get any game time in the Euro's, has played a handful of games for Swansea, in the Chav Ressies before that...linked with Granero of Real Madrid who can't get a game for them...and now Carroll allegedly being touted to AC on loan!
How farkin' depressing is this going to get before we even kick a ball in anger??

I hope the press including the boorish BBC are collectively so far off the mark concerning our targets, that they look absolute twats when the
real names are announced .... Rodgers said earlier this week that he will keep his cards close to his chest ,so I expect that policy to be adhered to .

Ben Smith is usually never off the mark. I do think we'll be signing borini. Let's hope he's good

Really hope so mate.

Because the names that I have been reading recently haven't really inspired me in any shape, way or form.

Borini, Joe Allen, Dempsey, Granero all mid-table fodder players.

But then there is the tantalising thoughts of the mis-fit twins Aqualini and Cole coming back into the fold, making us 'world-beaters'...........

Then there is this rubbish of loaning Carrol to AC Milan? WTF? Why would we EVER do that?

The only player we should genuiely be chasing is this Ramirez fella.

And don't get me started on this Sigurdsson debarcle, not signing a player because we didn't want to pay him another 10k-15k more a week. He is either good enough or he isn't, being stone cold flint should never come into signing a player YOU are after equation.

yeah i have to say i agree with a lot of that, if we buy dempsey that will be a joke, it will be just a ploy by our owners to try and build our fanbase in the states. granero and allen are no better than we have (i`d rather start giving suso game time than bring those 2 here) and borini i dont know enough about to comment on but he`s not exactly the robin van persie`s or even the podolski`s who our rivals are being linked with. cant imagine him being chelsea`s marquee signing of the summer.
the names we are being linked with dont strike me as being the type of big time player that will come to the club and on the strength of their performances basically demand a shirt and a starting position. suarez came here and within weeks the number 7 shirt and a place in the starting XI was his. we need more like him, not neccessarily his type of player or in his position but players that make a shirt their own.
i think the players we are looking at, or rather rumoured to be looking at, will be the type of player that ends up in and out of the team and will be classed as `a good addition the the squad`.
we`ve got enough of those types of players, we need players that will come to the club and chisel their names on the starting XI in stone.
we are not going to catch arsenal and spurs, never mind city or united with a team full of `squad` type players.
i`d rather we spent our entire budget on one big time player that would become a regular in the team than 3 or 4 benchwarmers.

Can't believe how negative some of you guys are being, we haen't even signed anyone yet and you guys are whining liek spoilt brats. The bottom line is that after the transfer balls up of comolli and King Kenny we have sod all money left so we have to be a little bit shrewd. Also remember that we have quite a few youngsters coming up the ranks.
In any case the new manager has my full backing at the moment as he should have from all fans.

Yes at the moment he has your backing - how long before your demanding he is sacked and replaced.

You are the same person who demanded Rafa was sacked then demanded Kenny was sacked and Rafa was hired !!!

I agree with you mate.

We will have sterling who if comes on with 10-20 minutes left has enough flare to open a side up.

Our back 4 is so strong and have decent cover that if an injury does happen we could say go on sebastian we trust you.

The only thing i think we need from this transfer window is a goal scoring midfielder the likes of Ramirez, Kaka or Dempsey

Their is one great catch just waiting to be snatched and would upgrade our team instantly: Kaka
So BR is you are reading this thread just go for it ,an intelligent ,humble ,hard working ,talented still hungry player in a position we desperatly need. Would inject creativity to our MF and upgrade the squad signifcatly.

Kaka ,shouldn't cost a fortune ,just do it BR.

The agent of Dortmund midfielder Jakub 'Kuba' Blaszczykowski says Liverpool are amongst the teams who have enquired about his client.

Had a good Euro, and seems a pretty decent Dortmund player.  26 years old.

In all honesty, anyone thinking about leaving Dortmund at this stage is completely out of their mind. They have perhaps the best setup across Europe for a core group of young, very talented players who have been playing together for almost 3 seasons now and have won the Bundesliga twice. Last year was their first escapade into the CL and that experience will serve them well. Gotze will fill the gap for Kagawa very easily.

Both the poles, Lewandowski and Błaszczykowski have been phenomenal for them over the past 2 years.

Putting aside interests in LFC, that is one team I would really love to see stick together for the next few years as they will achieve incredible success.

Now, back to LFC interests, I would love it if we went in for Gotze over the next 2-3 years (he's only recently resigned for them though). That lad is a creative force.
