Since the comment rodgers made about he hopes to complete one signing next week ive heard many people claiming their "in the know" Many names have been mentioned but one that has been said quite a few times was that of Xabi Alonso

However, if your a betting man don't bet on it.

He said "They'll love him"

That means - they "will" love him. So it can't be Xabi. Everyone knows we already love him.

Also, in the press conference someone asked about the rejected Esteban Granero bid. I think we're really in for that guy and Rodgers didn't rule it out either.

Further, if Brendan said this off camera after the interview, he wouldn't have mentioned the signing as "they'll be really excited by him", it seems kinda strange for him to say that knowing people already know we're trying to get Granero.

So my analysis (crappy as it may be), is that we're in for : Player 1 : Granero and Player 2: Someone else who apparently is very exciting and lovable.

I would love it to be Xabi Alonso, but then wouldnt mind Adam johnson Gaston Ramirez.

I dont think Granero is Exciting enough for him to come out with a comment like that

Hasnt he been advised that he isnt getting a new contract ?

We won't be getting Alonso FFS - do people just make things up from nothing ?!

Yes and that means we are signing him.

We will see Madrid sell us one of their crucial players to us and we will see Alonso leave the biggest club in the world who are currently in the CL to come to us.

Oh in other news Santa Claus has been announced as the new prime minister.
