here`s another link - http://www.theweek.co.uk/football/47103/guardiola-challenges-liverpool-and-chelsea-seduce-me

raven- i agree mate, he wont come here, it`s no surprise that he`s throwing his hat into the ring just as chelsea seem to be deciding against giving the job to di matteo.
chelsea are the european champions, they are a london club (which is a big attraction to foreigners) and their owner will back him with huge money.
he`d have to be nuts to choose us over them, we are a bigger club with a lot more history but to get us competing against the uniteds, city`s and chelsea`s is a huge job especially with a transfer warchest of £30m.

2. The backing he would get from us lot. I still stand by the fact our fans are some of the best in the world. All you have to do is look how it affected Rafa, Alonso ect.[/quote]

Our fans havent been the best in the world for a long time, there are some that deserve that title but too many now want instant success and are no better than Cheslea or City fans. The things that made us the best fans have all but disappeared..
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

YCS, Thats all conjecture. You seem to consistently post wild rumours and half baked assumptions as facts. Please dont, we already have Lakes for that  :D

And to reiterate - he didnt mean 1 month he just translated the phrase across to English incorrectly (its his 3rd language folks), he said months plural in his original Spanish press conference. That does not mean "2 months" for the more cynical of you out there. He promised Barca and all there fans he was taking a year off, he's not going to go back on that.

“Seduce” is what the journalists have taken out of his quotes and put into the headline. You’ve been pulled in by journalists.

if you are taking a year off you dont ask clubs to come and `seduce` you mate.
he`s basically saying i`m having time off and thats my plan but it`s not set in stone and if someone comes in with a great `project` my plans could change.
he`ll be at chelsea next season, mark my words.

He uses "Seduce" because English is his 3rd language!!

Pep Guardiola isnt a pantomime villain, every sentence doesnt have a subtle, insidious subplot. He isnt going to bloody Chelsea!

I wish he was, he could hide at the Bridge, and at the Etihad, when ever they went 1 down he could pop up behind the dugout while the away fans shout "hes behind you"

But mate, that would mean that the Chelsea fans would have to make some noise, and we know from experience that just isnt going to happen.

Maybe Roman could print up some "he's behind you" plastic flags.

i think he will, it`s not everyday that 2 big jobs are vacant in england and football moves so fast that in a year he might not be so much in demand.
especially if this new coach at barca starts off really well, people will be saying anyone can manage that team and guardiola`s stock will fall.
i cant see guardiola managing another spanish side, not in the short term anyway so realistically his next port of call will be england or italy.
it would be a risk for guardiola to turn down 2 big jobs and take a year out when his stock is so high.

The other side of that coin is if Madrid romp the league again, and Barca go out of the Champions League early then he will be more sought after than ever. Also twelve months from now other top jobs may be available (maybe even, please Jesus, the Utd job  :D )
