The man is one of the most decorated managers off all time, and one that consistently brings success wherever he goes. If your turning your nose up at Fabio Capello you really need to drop your expectations down a notch.

If you mean Capello well he is too old for what FSG are stated as wanting, but I think we need an older man. I don't think we are stable enough to be taking a punt on young and inexperienced managers. There are claims that Kenny steadied the ship and that was his job done but that's the nice guy PR spin on it. The fact is Kenny got too many things wrong in FSG's eyes and so they removed him. The stableising process isn't complete yet in my eyes. I'd get Capello in, or maybe Benitez and perhaps a younger man such as AVB in as assistant/apprentice.

no way someone like AVB would come here as an assistant

capello has won 9 league titles with 4 different teams in 2 different countries. he`s won the CL too.
he`s managed giants of europe like milan, real madrid and juventus and managed some of the biggest names in the game like zidane, van basten, gullitt, maldini, raul, ronaldo, baresi and even media darlings like beckham.
but i think he struggles to communicate in english, i`m not sure if he can get his idea`s over clearly enough.
he`d certainly command the respect of the players though.

He is too old and English is poor - really hope is is not in contention.

Has he ever kept a team from being relegated?
