If they are cut throat businessmen then theyd better get the best money can buy because Martinez or AVB aint gunna make their asset more valuable.

Have FSG come out and said "we want Martinez or we want Andre-Villas Boas?" -- No they haven't, it's just media speculation. Martinez is also linked to the vacant managerial position at Aston Villa. I am sure that FSG will appoint the manager they believe will further our progress. It is clear that they are unhappy with the club at the moment and are making wholesale changes to it, in order to get it up to scratch.

My gut feeling is that a lot of people at Liverpool are paying the price for the ridiculous handling of the Suarez race row incident. Our clubs reputation was damaged somewhat by it and Standard Chartered even expressed concern about it as it's their name on our shirt. I'm confident that FSG will appoint the right man to take us forward.

Take your time and think carefully about the answer please?

they started watching footy about 3 years ago mate, even the sky generation / fifa 09 whoppers are experienced footy fans compared to them. they employed a DoF on the advice of a baseball stats guru. more money than sense, they think rome was built in a day.

Martinez is being linked with every job that is or might be available. Us, Spurs at one point, Villa, etc. He is just flavour of the month at the moment because he has had a good couple of months with Wigan where they beat most of the top teams and somehow managed to not get relegated. I don’t think he’ll even be on the clubs shortlist.

Nail on the head. If he ended up at Villa, got them to 5th and had a really good run in europe then I would look at him, but Christ not now. Stopping a club from getting relegated is a completely different kettle of fish. See the way Woy was back in his comfort zone at West Brom? "Just keep it steady boys!"

I think Martinez has potential but he's nowhere near ready. Bring back Rafa.

I'm not convinced Rafa is the answer particularly as we've just sacked a manager who reached the end of his second spell in charge which in itself makes the argument.

That said compared to an outsider apart from KK Rafa is about the only decent manager around who understands the club and the fans.

I'm open minded about it but I doubt it will happen for a variety of other reasons.

the standard of journalism in this country is at an all time low imo.

some muppet journalist on the radio now from the daily star saying that the club is currently in the state it's in because of rafa. nothing to do with the club being bled dry by those two clowns.

Of course he would, it seems no other club will give him a job.

I think he proved with Inter that whatever talent he had as a manager at Liverpool, he ain't got it anymore!

No.

i no your joking, but he is someone the club should be keeping an eye on for future years, hes done an excellent job at Southampton and Scunthorpe, i wanna see what Southampton do in the Premiership next year. I think managers like Adkins, Rodgers, Lambert and Martinez need to gain more experience by moveing on to jobs like Villa, Everton, Newcastle level jobs before going to a top team, but i think one of them should make a top manager one day.

Rafa would walk across hot coals to manage us , and yes i would have him back in a heartbeat , i loved the man , most of you know how i fought on here for Rafa , but in all honesty i dont think i could handle it all again , same as Kenny if it didnt work out and they got rid , LFC IS MAKING ME FEEL SICK TO MY STOMACH AT THE MO
