But since it's a reality, Brendan Rodgers would be top of my list, with Paul Lambert a close second.

Mourinho?  I'd find that a tough one to swallow.  Martinez?  No, just no.  Benitez?  Love the guy but he had his chance.

WHAT THE FU CKING F.UCK. Rodgers?? Lambert??

not a big fan of o`neill, he`s a long ball merchant and watching his teams reminds me of watching a houllier side. uninspiring.

Great motivator, great tactician, great football.

plays far to open and he will never change his philosophy - its great to watch but it wont win d*ck

That's exactly the difficulty with Kenny. He expects our players to play his times' pass and move. He's unable to factor in the fact that our players now just aren't good enough. We need a tactician

I have the utmost respect for Rafa, he seems a nice guy who really loved the club and did a fantastic job in increasingly difficult circumstances. Things only started to go wrong when H&G started to asset strip the club and Rafa seemed to get the blame for most of the problems.

How many other foreign managers would still be living in Liverpool a couple of years after being sacked by the club.

I can't think of anyone who would come close to doing the job as well as Rafa would.

However, we do need some sort of management structure over this side of the pond, it wasn't fair for Kenny to be in the frontline all the time and I don't think Rafa would want a DOF.

if it`s not rafa or guardiola i`ll never go another game and i mean that.
if kenny has been f**ked off for a martinez or a AVB then the club isnt the same one i started supporting

The events of today have proved beyond a shadow that if you have ANY association to LFC either as a player or a manager you can forget having the slighest chance of any future involement at this club !

For the record please God we dont get Martinez or McCleish.

Lambert is the man for me but after the way Fenway have dispensed with KD today I'm not sure he would want theb job !

Et tu Brutus !

Deary me, why are we even discussing Martinez or Rodgers? Dont say we are getting rid of a legend who would probably turn it round to make way for someone who has battled relegation or one who has just been promoted? An experienced, respected, recognised winner has to be found right now. The owners have made the decision now they have to justify it by bringing someone better than KK, not someone who hasnt got a Fu*king clue.
If the players cant do it for Dalglish are they going to do it for such low ranking managers? Do us all a Fu*king huge favour and say a massive NOOOOOOOO! to even the thought of Matinez, never mind contemplating him for the job.

Completly agree with you on this Martinez way way out of his dept

Although you know who my first choice would be , the El Boss from Caldy , id have him back in a heartbeat

Second choice id be trying to have words with Guadiola , hes not interested in being tepmpted by rich cllubs hes already said that , he has enough money , he just wants to lay down his foundations and idears of his type of football , and a few months ago he compared our set up and academy as the only one as good as Barcas , Surely hes gotta be spoken to at least .

There the only two for me

I'd love it if we could talk Guardiola out of his sabatical, he's cool as fook - and the ladies seem to love him as well!
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

that was another thing rafa did, heighway etc were only recruiting local players but rafa realised that the top clubs like barca were recruiting young players from all over the world.
he took a bit of stick from the local press because heighway was so well thought of but it`s amazing the amount of things benitez did that turned out to be right years later.

I'd put money on it being Rafa but I really think Martinez could do well but it's WAY to risky for the owners to now appoint a maybe manager, they have to get a proven manager in, and the most obvious choice is Rafa.

would love to have Guardiola back, not sure about Rafa, might do well in if he does return but I still don't trust his ego.

Oh.. Shankly's legacy is long gone mate, ever since Moores sold us out for those two clowns

Hi Tim

Lambert is a Dour Scot and was a fantastic player ..........................Hang on , Fenway have just got rid of a Dour Scot who was a fantastic player ! ???

Its just my opinion and personal choice but given that FSG have issued an ultimatum to any prospective manager that qualification for the CL is a must in his first season I'm not sure i want to see a good young manager like Lambert put under that type of pressure to be honest.
