Yeah, it looks like we might be signing Defoe after all. Spurs bought Saha and Defoe has apparently been seen at the airport so it all adds up.

Thanks to Everton we may have Defoe!!  Could be a really good buy that!

Or it could be that January is the sh!ttest time of the year to do business and the owners felt they were ripped off last time they did business in the January transfer window.

Glass half full vs glass half empty.

I refuse to be pessimistic.

That didn't stop us last Jan did it? Also 4th is still technically reachable and with the right re inforcments we could do it. It's a big if but we don't stand a chance in hell if we don't get anyone else in.

Sorry but I interpret our lack of transfer action as meaning the owners do not want to give Kenny any more money and that he will be sacked/step aside/step upstairs in the summer.

Now of course we may well pull a rabbit out of the hat between now and midnight but if nothing happens the writing is surely on the wall for Kenny.

Independent say's Kenny Dalglish slams the fact theat clubs can not do business in peace.

Apparently this happened because the Carroll and Tevez swap was leaked ???

Maybe Kenny is keeping quiet for a reason.

If Spuds land Saha it could open the door for Defoe, I'd be happy with that

Cant say I'm too excited about Defoe but he still makes a better option than Carroll. Would be excellent if it was on loan but I'm afraid I cant see Tottenham letting him go on loan. Whether he proves to be good business or not might very well come down to the price we pay.

Seems a done deal to me though.
