does that mean even this Texeira thing won't happen?

I've got to laugh at Chelsea signing De Byrne or whoever - Villas Boas has pretty much said it isn't his idea

Talk about shoot ourselves in the foot :(

Bellers cant play every game, Suarez might get injured god forbid, Carroll might never score.

With all these games and the push for 4th place i think we needed more but what the f uck

God help us if this is true.

bbc say Liverpool will do nothing in this widow, they see this as bad news for Kenny as they seem to think that the owners dont trust him with the money and will hold back the money untill a new manger comes in the summer.......thanks bbc just when we start feeling good to hit us.

sky news

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has no plans to sell Andy Carroll after confirming he does not expect to make any changes to his squad in what remains of the January transfer window.

Reports over the weekend emerged to suggest the Anfield club were attempting an audacious swap move involving £35million man Carroll and Manchester City's Carlos Tevez.

Liverpool have also been linked with Werder Bremen's Marko Marin, Borussia Dortmund striker Lucas Barrios, Lille's Eden Hazard and teenage Wrexham goalkeeper Danny Ward.

But Dalglish, who on the last January deadline day signed Carroll and Luis Suarez, does not think there will be any incomings or outgoings before Tuesday's 11pm cut-off.

He told a press conference ahead of the midweek trip to Wolves: "There'll be nothing happening here in the transfer window, in or out.

Disappointing

"There's no need to ask any questions about transfers or speculation or anything else."

Carroll has endured an extremely disappointing 12 months at Liverpool since his record-breaking move from Newcastle.

On top of the Manchester City rumours, the England striker earlier in January was also reportedly offered to his former club in a cut-price deal.

But over the weekend, having helped Liverpool knock Manchester United out of the FA Cup, Carroll underlined his commitment to his current club.

He said: "Everyone has backed me and helped us along the way. I have signed a contract here and this is the team I am playing for."

The thing is... I thought we hired Comolli to oversee transfers  and decide on the fee + things like that.  I thought kenny only gave the nod if he wanted or player or said no.

So surely Comolli would be the one in trouble if the players arent value for money?

I personally think the media are just making up stories though.  We're still competing in all 3 competitions and have a lot to play for.

Or it could be that January is the sh!ttest time of the year to do business and the owners felt they were ripped off last time they did business in the January transfer window.

Glass half full vs glass half empty.

I refuse to be pessimistic.
