so apart from guitierrez, nolan and barton they completely bypassed the midfield did they?
sounds to me like the midfielders and wide players getting the ball into him. the idea that newcastle with carroll played a one dimensional direct game is a complete myth. in fact i remember them playing decent football and i remember carroll scoring plenty of goals with his feet from all around the box.
he was playing in a slightly different system for sure, but as with torres at chelsea sometimes the subtle differences in approach play can really affect a striker's performance.

Irrelevant, a good player should be able to adapt to any playing style. The bottom line is that Carroll jogs around the field, he doesn't try to win the ball back, his positional sense is appalling and his finishing even worse. He is a joke of a football player and we need to get rid of him asap.

So you agree with Kerry that KK hasnt got a Fu*king clue because he bought a one dimensional, limited donkey who cant even stand up on a football pitch?
A uselss, worthless dope who cant even be arsed trying to tackle and has made us a laughing stock across europe.
Dalglish has made the mother of all fu'ck ups here, no matter who tries to seperate him from blame or responsibility. He has spent our biggest transfer fee on our worst ever player and there can only be one conclusion for this disgraceful fiasco:
Both of them should fu'ck off and never darken our door again

I read a comment about contacting Roeder who it is claimed would have advised us not to buy him yet other people who watched him come through at Newcastle ( Kevin Keegan for one) have nothing but praise for him, each to their own I suppose. His touch was off at times last night but I would also say that he did his best with most of the balls he received. I don't see the point in playing him up there on his own and then hitting long balls to him, he flicked a few on last night but there was never any chance of anyone reading the flick or taking a gamble and making a run so most of the time they went out for a throw or back to Hart. Hopefully he will be given until at least the end of the season with regular starts and the type of service that produces the best from him and prove a few people wrong.

Everyone wants the lad to do well but that performance has to go down as one of worst displays I have ever seen from centre forward at the top level of the game.
It was as if we had plucked a lad from behind the goal and stuck him up front to help us out.
Every single aspect of his game has fallen apart and his cameo run and stumble down the line an embaressment.
At this point I genuinely feel sorry for him as hes being mocked and bullied and simply has nothing in his locker to end it. Enoughs enough.
