and the quotes from harry.....

if they did go as high as 23 (which they didnt).. they were being typical spurs... spending fortunes on garbage. They have spent more money than Arsenal in the last 20 years, and got the luckiest of lucky excapes if that was real.

I just remembered.. didnt spurs bid over 30 million for Rossi, same for Llorente.. they were linked with just about every man and his dog. No way was any of that legit.

I have stated that of the clubs we could flog Carroll to that Spurs wouldnt be interested as their days of squandering millons on trash appear to be over... but if indeed they were interested then we may have another potential buyer. I couldnt see beyond Stoke, Newcastle and Villa as the 3 clubs who would be interested, so if Spurs havent been completely put off then we could get 15 million for him.

The chairman does all the deals at spurs, and he was working on the deal personally.

Spurs offered 23...then 25 million on deadline day and then were preparing a 30 mil bid when Newcastle told them it was a waste of time.

Look it up online, the 'net is filled with reports on it. Including one from spurs' offical fan site.

But it remains, Spurs were bidding too and would haev paid almost as much as us.

they as much bid for Carroll as they did Rossi.. and Llorente...

BS.

What with the tens of millions they apparently bid.. (the tabloids who never make up transfer rumours... such as the mirror who proclaimed Suazez is a racist, the daily fail... said so therefore they must have)..... surely then Spurs must have spent all this money in the summer? Back in for Rossi?...no? Ok what did they do with the 35 million the tabloids said they bid for him?? What u mean they spent almost f**k all and brought in a loanee forward? But but.. the papers dont lie.. they had money!

I live with a person like you. At times a stubborn, single minded, irrational, obsessive crank.
Someone who gets something in their mind and no matter what reasonable argument or fact is offered will not, cannot bend to see the error of their ways. Compromise? Dont make me laugh!
You are now bordering on the hysterical and your "proof" that Carroll is sh'ite is becoming more and more bitter. I say again, you are either a frustrated and nasty bitch who has taken a tremendous dislike to a young man who wears the shirt of LFC or you are a phony plant who is trying to turn true supporters against one of our players who has done nothing to receive such vitriol and abuse. Your tenacity would be recommended if Carroll had been a timewasting show pony like some who have darkened our doorstep through the Benitez years, but he seems to be a genuine lad who is trying to find his feet at a massive club and with all the massive expectations that go with it. He was the big fish in Newcastle and now, because of his exaggerated transfer fee, he is supposed to hit the ground running and score a hat trick every game. The price tag weighs heavy on him and people like you make sure it stays that way.
Surely somewhere in your heart there is some maternal instinct which would want to nurture the lad and keep him from harm? Some vestige of compassion and a thought that hes some other womans son and should be protected instead of attacked? Or is it that youre on a secret mission to undermine and sabotage from within for your own despicable reasons?
Whatever it is youre making it clear to everyone that you dont have the best interests of our club at heart. I fully expect this post to be ignored (again) which further proves my case that you are one or both of the above

I am no fan of Carroll as you know Thommo and I make no apologies for my lack of enthusiasm or encouragement for the lad.He simply is not earning the £80k plus a week that we are paying him.Having said that Kerry goes to far.Quite amazing that somebody who writes such insulting comments is sufficiently audacious to criticise our gutter press. Kerry you belong in the same arena.

Well said. I actually think Kerry's agenda is more against getting Kenny out. Sure he doesn't like Carroll but his whole argument is based on a failed transfer policy, and the season isn't even finished.

I mean FFS at least try and be subtle when you sneak on here under the guise of a Liverpool supporter.

Just like Kenny will be given more than a year to prove himself, so should the players. Arguing with this numpty is futile. We all know Kenny has sound reasoning and will give all the new players a chance. After all is not as if he has playered and managed a team before.  ???

There is absolutely no agenda with me as regards Kenny...everything he has done (bar the British transfers) has been spot on.

I do indeed have an agenda against poor players who make us worse. We have a reputation for giving such players a chance and as a result have gone over 20 years without a title to our name. Im well aware that im much more contrarian than many other Liverpool fans as i will not back dross. The one and only time the vast majority were on the same page was over Konchesky and Poulson (and the only reason many did was because they were Hodgson signings under H&G regime). They were both cr@p, but we have players who were equally as bad but are given far more time, they just havent been Hodgson buys under a H&G ownership. Had Hodgson signed Andy Carroll the guy would be getting masscred at the ground nevermind on here.

Think of every top club in Europe, we are by far and away the biggest underachievers, and poor signings that fans tolerate has been the major factor in that. We come up with songs for players before they've kicked a ball and done anything to earn such adulation, we have banners for new signings in which they are proclaimed as the second coming (the Aquilani banner springs to mind), we are the most hospitable top club in Europe for average players. The demands the club (fans) used to have have lowered considerably

its an excellent source (as good as u can get on twatter).

Would be extremely happy if this occured, however id look for a loan (to a direct long ball team such as Stoke which cater to his limitations)..to increase his value. Theres no way we would get more than 15 for him so unless the owners are prepared to accept a 20 million pound loss then theres no way a permanent transfer will take place in January.

you'd be extremely happy if Carroll was sold...wow, you really do have it in for this lad dont you

what and u wouldn't? Given that hes never done it in his career, and more importantly that he makes us worse, why would anyone (other than opposing fans) want to see him here?

Strange comment.

I was pretty disappointed when Arsenal let Bendtner go, the day Tony Hibbert isnt lining up for the bitters will be a sad day for those of us who enjoy seeing them lose.

The lads barely been given a chance. He's lost before he's even stepped onto the pitch and thats from some of our own FFS. Sell him and buy nobody else in? Play to his strengths and he might cut it. I had doubts over whether Luis and Andy could co-exist on the same pitch
