We have to be looking to sign someone... preferably a quality player on loan.

I'm glad we have fans like this

You are now saying that others are responsible for the performance of the team as well as Carroll.
Its easy for people to get carried away once they take a dislike to a player. But even Lucas in his years before he started playing properly couldnt be blamed totally for bad results.

What I was actually trying to say was that other players performances seemed to drop off with the introduction of Carroll and as a result not all of the blame could be attributed simply at Carroll. Unfortunately though he is the catalyst that creates the problem and I don't think I am imagining that for one moment. We start playing long ball and ugly football when Carroll is on the pitch and that is not what we are currently trying to achieve.

If Suarez fails to successfully appeal his disgraceful and unjust punishment then I would play Kuyt before Carroll given that he was our top goal scorer last season. The pressure will be too much For Andy and I think it would be unfair to expect miracles from the lad.

I dont think you can blame Carroll for people hoofing the ball up to him can you?
If other players performances drop off thats down to them surely?

Even if he scored three overhead kicks from his own half it wouldnt be enough

Although I would never want to lose Suarez as he has been by far our best player, I think a run in the team will really help Carroll.  It is always hard to reach any level when you are only getting a short amount of time on the pitch.

His confidence looks shot at the moment, we need to get behind the lad and hope he gets an early goal.  I still believe he has enough in his locker to perform for this club, this could be his chance to launch his Liverpool career
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

You're in need of a goal.. and you bring on Bellamy, you bring on Shelvey... and with 3 minutes remaining, you decide to give that player you bought for 35 miillion a go.

Kenny, having paid 35 million 11 months ago, doesn't rate him.

such naivety... oh yes because scoring the odd goal here and there will completely mask over his lack of talent and the detrimental effect his presence has on the play.

"hope" being the operative word. The reason many of us are devastated about the scandalous treatment of Luis by the corrupt little englander FA... is knowing the price we pay with his absence with there being no adequate back up.

Lets pretend its not us... in any other situation when you lose a player for 8 games... "ahh its ok.. we have a 35 million pound striker so it aint so bad"... unfortunately in our case that 35 million pound striker is called andy carroll. Our season will more or less be decided in those 8 games. I will be pleasantly surprised if our season is still intact after that period.
