You seriously think anyone's going to pay £25 mil for him? No chance!

Alot of Genius thoughts in this thread.  Let's sell our only true striker and depend on Maxi and Bellamy for our goal production.  The future?  Who cares about the future.  This is the modern age where only right now matters.  Clearly we haven't all been playing enough FIFA or Footy Manager to know that you are supposed to give up on a player after 8 league starts.

That said.  If ever there was a time to get behind a player and show full support for him... Now would be a good time.  If ever there was a point in time to forget about a transfer fee, it is now.  The money has been paid.  There is nothing we can do about that.

Wouldn't one think that "Andy has enough pressure on him, why compound it by having his own club's supporters voicing displeasure about how the season is going"?

Aren't we supposed to be the best supporters in the world?  Some are making the Scum's support of Berbatov look like an absolute Love In compared to the support Andy Carroll is being shown.

My point.  Ripping Carroll to shreds serves neither the player or the club any good.  Support the only true frontman we have.  Like it or not.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

not a prayer. Hes a 13-15 million pound player (in this inflated market), and no one, unlike us, will pay beyond what hes worth.

I don't recall any signs of displeasure towards Andy Carroll being voiced at the game....He will have no added pressure due to pub and internet gossip, surely....

Now I do remember Lucas and Kuyt getting quite shoddy treatment, especially Lucas, from the terraces and to be honest there are still a few numskulls who refuse to acknowledge the contribution both players make to our team performances....

I'm certainly not aware that Carroll has been informed of my opinion of him and I'm pretty sure he couldn't careless

Some animals are more equal than others.

Yeah Lucas and Dirk has never played close to as badly has Andy and still no booes. Not that I think that fans ever should boo a player if he doesn't behave like a punk.

I think the boo,s were a cumulation of the previous owners, and hodgson installed as a yes man. And mostly the fact the club we love were being shafted. All in all frustration

Still totally unacceptable and should never happen. The behaviour of some supporters at the ground is simply disgusting. They don't give a damn about the people around them including women and children when then aim a barrage of foul mouth vile abuse as demonstrably as possible at certain players .The ground and the fans have change and it isn't for the better! Whatever happened to YNWA. Spoilt brat syndrome is an unhealthy problem!

I'm not on a my high horse or taking the moral high ground. I am simply making an observation.

Well said
My son plays on the x box and often comes out with such observations and crackers we have seen on here. Its always fascinating to me how fickle people are and how they can form strong opinions on little evidence or without actually thinking it through.
A classic example was last night when I was getting the train into Town and a gang of about 6 young lads were talking. One said "Carrolls fu'ckin sh'ite, waste of money" most seemed to agree. Someone else said "Crouch was sh'ite for ages". So they were repeating pretty much whats being said on here.
But I was surprised and pleased when one of them said "Carrolls a good player. We havent seen the best of him yet. Kenny knows what hes doing and people should trust him" No-one argued with him and the conversation turned to beer and women.
Out of the mouths of babes...

I find it almost ironic.

We have SS who gave Lucas ample amount of time even when he was shabite, now dismissing Carroll as shabite even before he is given the 3 year grace Lucas got.

Then we have Thommo who until very recently thought Lucas was pretty much shabite, now proclaiming patience and time is needed because Carroll is playing under Kenny even though his performances have been "shabite".

I have admitted that Lucas has improved beyond my expectations and in doing so have ate humble pie. I am pleased to do this if its in the best interests of the team and progresses us as a force again. I have no hesitation in saying that Im glad Lucas has come good and it seems I was hasty in saying he would never be good enough to play for LFC. It has taken a long time but I am glad its happened
My point is if Lucas was given time when he was far worse than Carroll is then why not give Carroll at least ONE season for him to improve?

just listen to the QPR fans during todays game mate when he is warming up,even he had to laugh-when you are at games like that & a song comes out that is genuine banter it's what makes football fans of today still reminding the players they are privaliged to earn the money they do,so they have to accept that if you are paying tour hard earned money to travel a long way to watch a game - having the p1ss taking out of you is part & parcel of the game- as long as it isn't anything that shouldn't be said & we all know what that involves etc then for me it is & should always be noticed

Been out all day, all I know about the game is that we won and Suarez scored. Listening to radio phone ins though there seemed to be a lot of calls regarding Andy ( again ) we should sell him, we should loan him out, we should get Anelka or Defoe ? Until MOD later can anyone tell me if this is yet more fickle knee jerk reactions or did he really have a bad game today ?
