Would love Adam Johnson here, impresses me every time I watch him, reminds me a bit of McManaman in his prime and his left foot is lethal. Can't see him lasting at City either, they already have Nasri and Silva for the wide positions and they even play Kolarov left mid sometimes ahead of Johnson. The look on his face when he got subbed before half time against Villareal said it all about how happy he is at City... then note his lack of celebrations after his fantastic goal against Wolves midweek. In the post match interview Mancini was asked about how well Johnson played (a goal and two assists in the space of 5 mins to turn the game) and he simply shrugged and said 'he can give more'. I don't understand it but I reckon he'll move in the summer, probably after picking up a league winners medal.

On another note we've been linked with a move for Collocini today in the BBC gossip column - he's certainly come on but I see him more of a sweeper than a dominant centre half, which is what we need.

I reckon Adam will move in January, think he'll stick a transfer request in soon. Only thing is Newcastle and Sunderland are the only two clubs to make enquiries so far. Both take him back to his beloved North East home.

But he's a Liverpool fan isn't he? I'm sure he wanted to come to us when he went to City but we didn't have any money at the time.

I'm pretty sure he's from Sunderland and is a Sunderland fan. Not 100% on that but pretty sure...

I'm sure theres someone on this forum who knows him, I'm sure there were a few posts to that effect when he was leaving Boro and we were linked.

He's not going to sign for a North East club though surely, unless it's on loan. He's better than that.

Johnson has scored 4 and has 2 assists in his last 4 league and carling cup games.

said it before he went to city that i'd love him here. better than downing, better than any other english winger at the mo.

he may have been unhappy at coming off in europe, but he's started the last 5 games. GHe's on form, he'll get more games, and i dont think he'll be going anywhere in january unfortunately

Hazard has said he'll be leaving Lille. Lots chasing him... Tho I think we have a chance if we really want him.

He's from Middlesborough, his family now live in PeterLee (durham area) I used to see him regular when he lived north east, but now only really by text or email since he moved to man city. I still see his mam and gran though. :laugh:

He wanted a move to liverpool but benitez refused him as not what he was looking for. he even offed to keep the same salary as he was on at boro. but no.

Apparently there is no clause connected to the Joe Cole loan

That was just a rumor. It could be true I suppose, but I highly doubt it.

I think Comolli dismissed there being any clause re Hazard. If Cole continues to perform for Lille he could maybe be used as a bargaining tool though? Anyways numerous clubs will be after him and unfortunately I suspect some of them will be able to outmuscle us even though we have shown the will to invest. Hoping I am proved wrong though as he is an exiting player.
