ffs he is a new signing,he should be pinching himself not to just know he has arrived AT LFC,but to also think -i'm starting in the first team,so i'm going to show everyone i'm worthy of this chance, give my all regardless of where i play, cause with my so called knowledge an experience of top flight football i will shine where-ever,plaese mate tell me one game so far he has demonstrated such actions, cause i'm still un-sure of this.
redhayesy wrote:for me, it's still to early to fully judge him! i say that cause as much as i acknowledge he has vast experience in a high level standard of any league in has played in, he their for knew what was & is expected of for playing for a club like ours.
people go on about the EPL being the best in the game an any player that wants to step up to the plate in going there needs to prove there worth instantly for me... it takes time i hear some cry? ... no it doesn't - look at torres, alonso, masha it took no time at all an that's the difference- oh so i forgot they cost alot more money - you only get what you pay for? - that argument is cr@p for me,cause in many cases has proved bu11sh1t! the classic example is gary mcallister! a free -so called past it, has been, but when he was given the chance to not only sign for us, but play for us on a regular basis - HE FECKING GAVE IT EVERYTHING HE HAD. the man was an is a credit to everything that given a chance to play for LFC stands for.
the likes of meirelles may be & in this day an age be given time to prove there worth, given time to settle in etc, the likes of gary mac weren't given -agree with it or not,my point is any player re-guardless of price, experience etc-once you sign for LFC you should feel that you have achieved the pinickle of your career -you have reached the summit, give the club everything it deserves for giving you the chance to re-pay the so called talent that put you in the shop window in the first place.- for me meirelles has still to recognise this!
talented player-to be honest i'm still not sure, cause there is a massive difference between talent an desire, commitment an going that extra to prove your worth or just expecting to be picked because of who you think you are,or how much you think your worth, repretations mean nothing, unless you back it up with proof, actions speak louder than words an i sincerly hope if meirles is picked to start in the derby he begins to prove he worthy to wear the famous red shirt like gary mac did when he played in the derby! (still one of the best displays from a player who cost feck all) an scored one of the best goals in our history against the bitters!- that free kick is legendary end of.

I wasn't disagreeing with you mate. Simply from a tactical perspective, the chances are we'll see the best of him in the middle where he can use his passing ability to full effect. That said, effort-wise, he has to do a lot more to show that he's up to it. He was way off it against Blackpool IMO, and there'll be no hiding places come derby day.

did you forget how were the first months of mascherano in premier league? you don't have just to prove that you can play in the league, you forget that you play in a team with 10 more players, and so far, the team is struggling, what did u expect this guy could do? if these were the fist matches of torres what would you say? if you we can speak about him playing in the right, probably the first time in his life after hundreds of matches since he became a profesional player...i did see a very good second half in old trafford, till sudenly he was took off, still don't know why. since he left the pitch, liverpool lost the ball and didn't see it again till they had to take it from the net after the third ManU goal.
