Very Evertonesque for shame.  :no
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

think it's a good signing although it does make the signing of poulsen a bit baffling. he's certainly suited to the premiership physically though.

came a bit out of the blue this didn't it. i got a text whilst i was at leeds telling me we'd signed the guy and i was delighted but generally surprised. usually our transfer sagas drag on for weeks. :D

I think that Poulsen will be Mashs enforcer role replacement and Meirkat will be a swap for Lucas...

looks good... I'm kinda getting excited on seeing him form a partnership with Gerrard... at least he is another goal threat from the midfield no doubt...

I wouldnt say hes loads of a threat, but he will certainly unlock it for others, and pop up every now and again on the outside of the box and try lashing one home

why spend all that money on yet another average midfielder with a sh!ite goal record. When we got loads of midfielders and no fecking strikers.

So let me get this right you think we will be worse off because Aquilani left and we sign what I would class a better player than Aquilani who is more suited to the Premier League than the Italian will ever be and you complain?.

Oh and btw if you hadn't noticed last season we had feck all in terms of creativity from midfield and that was probably our biggest downfall. You can have all the strikers in the world but if you create feck all you are going to score feck all.

That's it. First, in my opinion, the goal record is not the best way to evaluate a midfielder. For a striker yes, but a midfielder is different. From what I seen of Meireles, I think he's a really interesting player, very well suited for the Premiership. But first, we need to see him in action to criticize or praise. Let's wait.

Rocky29, having plenty of strikers upfront is not a guarantee of victories, neither of goals. That looks like the Man City mentality..."Hey, let's buy all the great strikers to gain trophies"
Football doesn't work that way...

Sure, but so let's clarify this question. We want a striker to compete with Torres, a striker to be reserve of Torres, or a striker to play side-by-side with Torres? I don´t know what we are looking for, really... ???
