Apparently the fella was wearing a police uniform and in the chaos was signalling kids to come to him, then shooting them.

The man suspected of this: Anders Breivik, used to be a free-mason.  :suspect: let the conspiracy theory's roll...

Sad, sad, sad. Why to desparate people turn to violence and not just quietly take their own lives?

RIP and condolences for the whole of Norway. Being a 5 million population they've been hit hard by this.

Definitely Reg, its really sad, Norway is fairly peaceful and this has hit them really hard. I was hearing on the news about eye witness stories, its scary, imagine yourself there when the shooting happened and the loon was following you making sure your dead while laughing his @rse off! That's absolutely terrifying  situation to be in.

RIP to the young souls, no one has to bury their children

He shot over 80 people in under two hours (?)

Don't want to sound cold but if a dozen kids had organised themselves and rushed him the casualty rate would have been significantly lower.

In no way am I blaming those poor kids/victims for the terror they went through. I'm just sad that as this madman went on his hunt there was nobody on the island who was able to organise some kind of resistance.

Was just listening to an account of 1 guy who managed to escape. Get this, the guy had his gun raised and was ready to shoot, the would be victim begged him to spare him, and he did.

Lucky escape or what.

They were only kids and he was dressed in a police uniform - it was total chaos - people were only going to go into self preservation mode .

I fully understand the panic many people experience when they're under fire and appreciate these kids probably had no military training (?), just sad that they were apparently so unprotected and so defenseless

I expect the guy picked them because they were so defenceless and no protection and isolated on the island .

What? 2 pages for the Oslo shooting and 5 pages for Amy Whinehouse? Where are our priorities we wonder? What has the world become?
