How much lies are been spouted today? One minute it's an agreed bid - reported by ALL the respectable (ahem) media outlets, then out of nothing, we get official rejection from Newcastle on our 'improved' bid.

also just announced that this nonsense about Utd trumping us in the Adam deal is just that, nonsense. No truth in it at all. OK - I'm not interested in anything else now until a spokesman for LFC comes out and officially announces it. Because probably everything that's been said and reported today, EVERYTHING, is just rubbish. Next thing we'll be in for Heskey, Craig Bellamy and Andy Gray as first team coach. Bye.

Latest reports are that NUFC have rejected the £35m offer?

I hope if we up the bid it is only add-ons not an increase in the base fee.

Bear in mind people that any transfer has staggered payments, very rarely do clubs pay outright.
