What you actually doing is compenasting a club for the loss of a player not what they are actually worth. Newcastle would suffer a huge hit not only on the park but in PR and thats something that Ashley doesnt need any more of. Clearly £30m is not enough for them to take on that kind of aggro.

I'd be very happy with a Suarez/Carroll partnership. Sure beats Torres/Ngog!
Of course Torres/Suarez would be even better.

you can tell, big strikers like him dont hit 30 goals a season in the prem (unless your a freak like drogba)

you cant count his championship season either, even donkeys do it there.

Carroll has 11 goals in 18 games for Newcastle in the premier league this season, to say hes average is a joke and to say we should only pay 20m or 15m for him is ridiculous cos the likes of spurs or united would have already snapped him up!

Some one said we should get someone who will get us 30 goals a season for 30m, well who is out there that can do that? Truth is theres nobody available for that kind of money!

Carroll would be a great long term investment!

We always complain when the likes of united get young players like Rio and Rooney for top dollar, its about time we splashed the cash and have Carroll grow into a world class player with us, he would do just as good as torres this season and next I would be convinced!

if you pay 30 million for andy carroll the pressure is on him to perform

and he will only perform with wingers

and we have none.
