Just feel that this will not be good for his career. If true, i.e  Ancelotti doesn't want him, the Owner does, then this is crazy.

with Carroll you just have to consider the "English factor".

one of the Worlds best strikers and established international David Villa £34m
Dzeko - £27m

Darren Bent - £26m

Carroll £30m + ?

Some one said we should get someone who will get us 30 goals a season for 30m, well who is out there that can do that? Truth is theres nobody available for that kind of money!

Carroll would be a great long term investment!

We always complain when the likes of united get young players like Rio and Rooney for top dollar, its about time we splashed the cash and have Carroll grow into a world class player with us, he would do just as good as torres this season and next I would be convinced!

funny as feck this!!!

funny is it? so Dalglish is some kind of mug now is he? ????? He obviously thought the same to put the bid in

who said dalglish was a mug?

chill out melon head

snap and i think he is worth 30+ mil

madmen

hes got 11 goals in a decent league, no england goals

didnt even destroy in the championship really, 17 in 39 isnt that great

if he scores 20 prem goals this season il agree hes worth just 20 million cause of his age and potential, but never 30.

well i just must be as mad as kenny then.

you better call kenny and tell him he dont know what he is doing as the player is not worth it.

I hope we set chelsea an earlier deadline for the deal. Not acceptable for them to play brinkmanship all day and then finally relent and pay the asking price minutes before the deadline. I'd give them until 5pm to sort themselves out or the whole deal is off. Absolutely no point in letting him go if we don't have enough time to get in a replacement.

PC@Newkit - Torres deal almost done with chelsea, the only thing stalling the move is torres' demand that the flags they have are never used as he does not want to be reminded how plastic that club is.

still cant believe the amount of cash being thrown about by all clubs in the last few hours.could be £150mil before the day is out.
still if we landed adam and young to go with suarez then we wont have done too bad considering torres fooked us right off.
shocked that newcastle turned down £30mil for carroll tbh.

seriously?

imbra who has hit a very good amount of goals in every league hes played in

in italy he averages 1 goal every 2 games

in his season at barca 20 odd goals in 40 games

this season for ac milan 17 in 25

apparantly availble for 25 million

yeah totally serious.
the italian league is almost on a par with the eeridevisie at this stage.
he didnt last too long at barca either.he's probably another mercenary anyway.
anytime ive seen him play against an english club he has been p!ss poor, greedy player who wont pass the ball.

I'd set it even earlier, say 3pm.

For those asking, Ryan Babel is the helicopter pilot. He knows the way to London by air.
