so he's as good as gone.

i think i've made my peace with this whole situation. he can leave now. the sentiment that HAD been there has now given way to disappointment but we can only look forward with the players we have that WANT to be here, and the man that is leading the way.

if fernando doesnt want to be a part of it, that is his choice. if i lose all respect and admiration for him, that is my choice. and all our choices have been made.

and with said i look forward to the WHO CAN WE GET TO REPLACE FERNANDO TORRES BEFORE THE TRADE DEADLINE DAY THREAD!

Transfer babble aside ... does anyone else just get a little thrill watching Kenny taking the questions as MANAGER of Liverpool football club?? It all just feels so right. I am genuinely optimistic about the future, with Kenny, with the owners, with the approach that seems to be taken.

One thing we have to remember - this transfer window isn't some kind of make-or-break time for us - most of us expect it will take a couple to a few years to get back to challenging for the league. Having new owners who are right for the club and Kenny in the driving seat is the biggest thing of all. With all the Torres talk, we nearly forget we have just signed one of the world's top strikers and are looking to do a lot more than just that!

just read this on RAWK:

TIA (This Is Anfield) reporting a £42.8m bid from Chelsea has been accepted

cant get on to TIA to see whats going on though

Referring to this, SSN say the club categorically deny this is the case.

£42m? If thats with Anelka ok. If not yet again we've lost out. Should have held onto him till the summer even if it means he sits out the rest of the season. By then Man City be interested Italian and Spanish clubs. We could have got alot more. Why do we always seem to play these things wrong. I know he wants to go but we got to get as much as we can. Where half way through the season anyway even if he doesn't want to play for us agin.

Again, none of these social networking or other site reports are correct- as yet. They're just rumours. The club have categorically denied a deal has been agreed. Not saying it hasn't happened, just that the club are aware of these reports in the last twenty minutes and have already denied them. It's pretty nailed on he'll go but it's not official yet.
