i can see why we need to do a deal that would also give us a striker.....as when torres lleaves we have none that can play in the EL.
We have NGog don't we?
Isn't Pacheco registered too?

Steve Crooks wrote:Since Friday the world really does feel like it has gone mad. The elation of Suarez signing compared to the despondency of Torres wanting out is a bizarre feeling.
What really gets my goat is that he chose to drop the bombshell now. This is the first moment since Torres signed that we have actually shown we are serious about future success. Buying Suarez is great and the thought of him playing up front with Torres is mouth watering. Since 2007 we have been in slow decline as H&G slowly milked us dry. He could have said "F*ck this, I'm off" a zillion times in that period but he didn't. So why now? Just when we are beginning to see the shoots of a new exciting Liverpool future.. Why now?
However, as much as Torres leaving fills me with dread and going to Chelski of all places just rubs the pain in a bit harder and deeper, I for one am going to get over it really quickly. As soon as I hear the news on Monday evening that Torres signs for Chelski I know I am going to feel bad. The pain will probably last until all the hullabaloo dies down. But there is one underlying truth that holds true, nobody is bigger than Liverpool football club...
When Bill Shankly left we thought the world was ending, Bob Paisley became boss and became the most successful British manager ever. Keegan left and we thought there was no way to replace him, we got Dalglish and he became the king! Rushie left, how would we replace him? Get Aldo, Barnes and Beardsley! Waheey, happy days..These are just a few examples of when the world felt like it was crashing in around us and there are many more.. No person is bigger than Liverpool football club! When Torres retires, Liverpool will still be going strong.
So I say, thanks Nando for some pretty decent memories, you will never walk alone but you will never be loved by Chelski fans like you were loved here... Shame on you for that. Maybe one day you will realise what a tit you have made of yourself. Especially when you find your missus in bed with John Terry!
Can't wait to see Suarez shine under King Kenny, shame Torres won't be next to him but how sweet will it be when Suarez bangs in a hat trick against the blue scum next week!!
