We went thoguh the proper channels, didnt tap up players, went through the clubs, thats the difference

Apparently an incident occured where Torres felt verbally intimidated and he has now resolved the issue. #lfc #Torres #Melwood -Fernando Torres expected to withdraw transfer request this afternoon after talks with the board, it appears Torres was unhappy with staff

We need to put an end to this . Tell Chelsea to stump up the fee we want by 7:30 pm tonight or he ain't goin' anywhere.

It suits Chelsea to drag this out 'til tomorrow night 'cos then we can't get any replacements in. They're scared we'll finish higher in the league than them !!

As it is I think we'll struggle to bring anyone in at this late stage but at least we give ourselves some extra time .

Yeh doll - we havn't spoken to palyers resp.. been approaching the club first and then getting permnission to buy the player - look at the sequence:

1) Chelsea make bid (outta the 'blue')
2) Torres enciurages club to 'listen'
3) Then hands in transfer request

... where did all that come from, so quickly? We r not looking to sell - tap -up !

But in this case Torres's agent informed Chelsea he wanted out so he wasnt tapped up by them unfortunalty :down:
