A longer contract makes his fee higher when he does leave. This is why Rooney signed his, so that if he goes in the summer they get top dollar.

I could see a compromise where he commits long term publically, but with an agreement that he can leave in the summer if he still thinks we are not progressing.

I can see his point a little. He gets one short career and the next four years are his peak years, and he wants to win stuff. What I don't get is why he thinks CFC will challenge in that time. They need a complete rebuild in the next two years.

I'd be happy with that photo.....and let's see what happens for the rest of the season. We can't spend £50m till then anyway.

i see some say they have info that Torres had a medical in spain this morning and will fly to london.

People should look over SCS player rating topics after each match. Torres' reviews have been p!ss poor all season. His heart isnt in it. Its obvious.

Sell him. And we move on.

i thought he handed in the request coz he was P****ed off coz no progress was being made with signings now we have signed a quality striker no need for him too go, would be great finally seeing two quality strikers at the club

I dont mind now I've haad time to think about it. Take the 50 million + Anelka and rebuild the team.

The pleasure was watching Torres play with Stevie, Alonso, Masher, Carra and Reina.... celebrating with Rafa. That era is finished now, we need to rebuild just as Shanks, Bob and every other manager has done. Its no big shock, more annoying.
