Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I don't really think he will go either but like others have said... worry about his professionalism for the remainder of the season.  Hopefully he gives 100% and continues to score goals.

With every passing minute it is unlikely we would let him go, simply as we could not find a replacement, negotiate, and do the deal before Monday now.

What good is £50m if you can't spend it???

So as we speak, either LFC are doing nothing about this, having rejected the offer, and the transfer request, and just letting the clock run down, and trying to sign the two or three players we are linked to...

OR

the deal is agreed, and we are now trying to line up a new striker very quickly.  Aguero would be my choice.

Overall, I'd rather he stayed.....and he should not go to a direct rival.  Hopefully Kenny will realise that.

He;s due back for training tomorrow so it should be resolved tonight if something was going to happen.

Balague'staking a twatting on twitter right now. BTW he says he HASN'T sacked his agent.

Also I agree with the above. If we can keep him tillthe summer we will have a 3 way bidding fest going on between City, Chelsea and Barca.

New reports suggest that £50m is a starting figure for negotiation and whilst Chelsea appear keen to bridge that gap with cash plus players Liverpool will only listen to that if they offer a top player, in exchange, and not castoffs such as Sturridge  :no

50 Mil would be a good start. As for which player to take, so many of them are cold (scatches head again, why are you going there Torres?!). Anelka is decent but he's in his 30's now. The only ones id take are Essien or Ramires, maybe Mikel. Don't reallt want any of their players tbh. Just give us 60Mil.

I rate Alex and Zhirkov and they would improve us in centre and left back but have a feeling Torres will be with us until summer at least now.

Nice to see the club standing firm. But that must mean they have not yet offered 50mil cash. That's the minimum it would take to get the clubs attention so unless they offer that I can't see him going there.
