i idolised that guy and he was the best striker we had for such a long time and i had real hopes that he would spearhead our attack with suarez and fire us back to glory.
he has asked to leave our club to win things with someone else that says it all for me.

hold out for 50mill with Sturridge and buy Carroll for 20 mill on monday.

Didn't Newcastle just reject a 23Mil offer for him the other day from Spurs?

Not to mention everyone will know we have 50mil burning a hole in our pocket. So much for not paying over the odds. 

No I think the best thing to do is get him signed up to a new contract. He need to give FSG a few years to see what they can do. And whats he moaning about, he's won the world cup and european championship. He needs a slap that boy.

The lad clearly wants to leave. If he does go, which is by no means certain I wish him all the best and thank him for the effort he has put it over the last four years. And if we hold out for the 50 million in his contract it will be good business, doubling our investment. Also remember that he has been injury prone and has missed a lot of football. Its not that terrible if he goes.

We have been fortunate to have Fernando Torres at the club for four years. He has scored goals and without them really where would we have been?

If the lad is set on leaving we do not know the reason. Only Fernando knows why he wants to leave and has obviously communicated to the club but he is not shouting to the press or throwing tantrums. He is conducting himself properly and should be afforded the respect he deserves.

I like everyone else think that he is being stupid for wanting to leave, but for crying out loud give him a break and show some class!

  Its ironic that most posters on here have been calling Torres a child

Although to be coming out with that lies and broken promises nonsense now with FSG is kind of like taking out issues on your ex wife with your new gf.
