I think Liverpool would bite the hand off a club for £40m just not from these shores. If they can hawk Torres about and maybe do something with an overseas outfit the problem goes away. The money or player almost seem irrelvant its the buyer thats stinking the deal out here.

I think it's all started with his agent .... maybe his agent trying to make money ( maybe also there's addition "under table money" ) by selling Torres to Chelsea ....

everybody seems to blame the agent in these situations.
answer this if you had an employee going around without your knowledge saying and doing things that you didnt agree to.would you still employ him?
personally id give him the d.c.m.
if torres doesent go then its most likely because chavski wont stump up the asking price.

just been told Bruce Buck and some other chelsea execs are holding talks with Liverpool. They're expected to go on until tonight, with a solution announced in the morning.

they have been in talks since 11pm last night.
our club told them there was no point in asking to buy torres as he is not for sale and he was happy at the club, then they get the letter from torres saying he wishes to leave.........a kick in the balls

Too many rumours , not enough fact , but as nobody is telling us anything rumours and half truths are all we've got.
