with who though? Hodgson, twIt & tw@t, christian purslow, broughton and rafa all gone now. we have new owners and a legend of a manager with more stability and a big rebuilding project. With who would have a bust up with? or maybe earning extra 50k more is too much for him?

Doesn't make sense, why have Chelsea waited to the last minute? They can't expect us to agree when we won't have time to replace him. We still have an outside chance of 4th so fck Chelsea, we sell on our terms, in the summer if nando really wants to go. It's at times like this that we really do not throw our considerable weight about, put in a fcking 20m bid in for essien. Tell the Chav scum once and for all fck off, we ain't selling now and make it public.Maybe this will be another contract extension.

but like sandra said, he wants to go he wanted to go last season.

it could be that no offers actually came in for him over the summer, or this transfer window until last nights chelsea bid? - thats why its come out now.....

What seems ironic is the two players at the centre of this share an agent. I find it hard to beleive the club did a deal with Guardiola to sign Suarez under the premise that he would pair up with his other client Torres only for the latter to drop this bomb the day the deal goes through. You can only conclude this has all been pre arranged with all parties unless Torres and his agent have pulled a fast one to try and push two massive transactions through in 3 days. Its possible weve been hustled!

Or maybe his Mrs wants to shop in London and get :censored: in the arssee by John Terry - the same man who kicks the :censored: out of Torres, while hes on the floor after a goal kick.

WHY would he even consider it, has to be a proper reason, hell, go to Man City if its for Money...do NOT go to the Chavs

Also I don't think Suarez can play as a lone striker. We'd probably need to get in someone else quick.

Bang on, he sets up loads too but needs support to do his magic from what ive seen, cant do it alone...he doesnt have the 10 yard pace of Torres to get past people.

All this is driving me up the wall. I have a feeling that we'll hear something more concrete tomorrow. Hopefully Torres confirming that he's staying for the long haul.

RBuxton_LFC    If Torres leaves, #LFC have opportunity to rebuild for medium to long-term. He turns 27 in March & won't command £40M+ fee in next 2yrs.

It's the only plausable deduction. Could be that he feels that he was promised to be playing with world class players, and time and time again he's been let down. However, this news came BEFORE the news of Suarez broke. That could change his mind IF that was his thinking. Ther's also been the rumours of a falling out with Carragher and Gerrard. I still think there is a lot of politiking in the squad that's gone on that we aren't fully aware of. Still, it makes little to no sense whatsoever if he's leaving due to him wanting to be in the CL. Either way, he stays on until the summer and gives it a fight. If we fail, he goes to another club of his choosing and gives the club the chance to get the best price for him. The only way a player would "do the dirt", so to speak, like this is out of spite having been f*cked over.

Btw, was listening to Talksport earlier, they were interviewing David Johnston. DJ was adamant that Torres was not going anywhere as he loves the club and fans and wants to help get LFC back to the top.

You're a father now - do you see your little girl growing up here in Liverpool as a little Scouser?

I think so. Some of my teammates have kids and they speak with a strong Scouse accent. I hope to be here for a long time and if my daughter speaks English and Scouse, I will be proud.

Everyone hopes you'll be here a long time yet - but how would you ultimately like to be remembered by Liverpool fans?

I would like to be remembered as a player who won trophies for Liverpool. I have plenty of years here, I am sure about that, and I hope the trophies will come soon......

Has fatherhood changed you?

Yes, a little bit - I cannot rest properly anymore! No, I can. I have a really nice baby and I can sleep. But I have more responsibilities now and you start to think about things in a different way. You have a wife and a daughter, so you're not a kid anymore. You have to think about the future of your family........

You are a global superstar now but do you still see your old mates - the people you grew up with?

Yes. I have friends over almost every weekend, and they're the same friends I had as a kid. This is the main thing - keeping your friends and family close to you. They keep your feet on the ground. When we are alone they tell me I am the same as I was before, and I have to thank them because they always help and support me.

I would personally like to believe  the Lad meant them words ....and they weren't simply just empty promises ,and for that reason I will strive to remind posters exactly what he gave to us fans ...the most important being the belief  that this club could still attract the very best players in the world ,and make them feel like they belonged   ....Torres is a well grounded Lad who is honest enough to make a statement when the occasion arises ... ... if and its still a sizeable if ...he decides to seek pastures new
