End of day we could be awkward and keep him here against his will seeing as hes under contract. Mancs did it for a year with Ronaldo and Arsenal did it this year with Fabregas. You get the feeling that if we dont dig our heels in then the club are confident we can move on from here and rebuild a better side without him.

This is different though, I don't think those players had any clauses in their contracts that forced the club to accept an offer above £x.

Turn the tables around on them I say, put in bids for half their f**king team to unsettle Drogba, Lampard, Malouda, Anelka and Terry.

We have just bought Suarez to the club and are on the way up, all my concerns about NESV have gone, they are the real deal and Fernando should see that!

speculating, but his request bto leave now could be due to bid & assurances from chelsea. no actual chelsea bid in the summer (i dont think), but once he's seen the bid come in, his head gets turned.....

shame we didnt see suarez and torres in tandem if its true, wetted the appetite for an hour or two that did. anyhow we all know he isnt the player he was 2 years ago, like owen we've had the best of him but on this occassion we can make up for the mcmanaman/owen debacles and make a serious chunk of change. I reckon we could now get Benzima pretty cheap, imagine that frontline..oh yes YNWA.
