btw not sure if it's been mentioned in the Suarez thread but one of the reasons he came to us over other clubs was that being a South American he wanted to be at a club where there were several spanish speaking players.

This smacks too much of the Gerrard to Chelsea farce ,far too many posters and fans only too willing to call the Lad a stream of expletives without realising the wrench leaving Liverpool and the fans he supposedly identifies with really fully entails  .... I think this media driven frenzy is being maintained simply because of the deep seated loathing they have for all things Liverpool FC ..... sure some of what's being said could be the truth and some pure speculative nonsense ....only time will tell ...I for one will wait till the Lad see's fit to give us an explanation
A lot of promises were made to Torres and none were kept .....I mean lets be serious here the Lad was expecting a manager with a European pedigree ,one used to regularly competing and indeed winning the  big trophies ....he got Hodgson it must have been as soul destroying to Torres as it was to us fans .... then the fallout with the players responsible for advocating the arrival of Mr LMA (Just rumour of course ) but everyone in Liverpool was telling the same story ...... all that aside though lets see what the Lads decision is ...before we forget the good times when El Nino's goals were a thing of beauty ...and every fan in the Kop who had a voice  bounced in unison to his undoubted class .....  lets give him that much shall we

Because I cant imagine it and if I see it it will make me realise how much I will hate him if he joins them.
Is that good enough?

50m euros? I thought the trigger fee was £50mil..... we shouldn't be accepting any less than that.

The only thing that worries me is if the money we would get it Torres goes would go  towards what we paidfor Suarez and thats why we paid up in the end for him, doubling or last offer. If thats the case then it would be like swaping Torres for Suarez and 12 million which is still  a good deal for me  (although not my preferred choice) You never now maybe it was a scare tactic by Torres to get NESV to stop :censored: about and get Suarez in now, but its highly unlikely. I still believe if we have a good second half to the season and we buy well in the summer then he will stay but if he goes and all the money we get for him we can invest in the team on top of what NESV would give us anyway then i would still be happy.

Torres is special but no one is bigger then Liverpool YNWA

They won't love him and adore him the same way as here.

If it's his wish to go then the club shouldn't stand in his way, but for gods sake lets get the right amount at least.

I've said a couple of pages ago mate, I understand's Torres' decision to leave because of promises the club couldn't keep and our 4 year trophy-less run. Maybe he wants to go to a club with more ambition. However, he contradicts himself from what he said 2 weeks ago, saying that he is loyal and he honors the contract. Then this happens and he wants out ??? ... something is just wrong, especially that if he goes to Chelsea I don't think anyone would forgive him for that. Yes, I agree, lets wait and see tomorrow, lets hope the King talks some sense into him and he commits his future for another 6 months. Sell him in the summer to a team in the Seria A or La Liga if he still wants out, but please not Chelsea.

For all those saying Torres story is wrong, no one would be happier than me if it was. But it's not.

The fool better not leave now or I'll hate him forever. If he really ever loved the club he shouldnt leave us in this mess but help us save something even if it's not possible. I'd accept if he leaves at the summer transfer window... for a decent price ofcourse.

Touch and go whether #Torres stays. Hope he stays. Illogical to leave now. #lfc rising again. Suarez, Dalglish + Adam imminent

bang on the money.... fingers crossed

If a picture of Torres in Chelsea shirt floats your boat then I suggest you're on the wrong forum
