All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing

You forget this is a business deal and nobody opens negotiatins offering the asking price!  Ajax are aware he wants to leave, and also know that if they do not sell him in this transfer window his value is going to drop significantly in the summer.  We will do this deal at a better price than 30mill euros, we just need to be patient!

We are being run by proffesional business men, we need to trust them.. if it doesne work out Kenny will give them a bollocking!

Wake up mate Liverpool always do this. Only six days left and we offer about 8-13 million less then what Ajax wont its a joke. Why are we :censored: about with Adams aswell? why didnt we just offer an extra 1.5-2 million more and get him in afew days ago? We are a :censored: joke of a club when it comes to transfers, history doesnt lie.

Has Babel done another U-turn and gone to the German side? I hope hes not doing it on purpose so we cant press on with the transfers as a middle finger to the club. I wouldnt put it past him.

What history are you "trying" to compare? We now have a different manager and a different management team.

Of course we could just pay what everyone asks... but then that is an idiotic business practice.

There is a week left, chill out lad

Recent history thats seen us miss out on average players like Ronaldo, Aguero, Alves and Samao

I understand about trying to get the best possible deal for the club but offering 12 million for Suarez is insulting and if the reports are true and they say they refuse to offer crazy money its insulting to anyone with abit of intelligence. Even if they paid the full amount Ajax want wed stll be getting a bargain same with Adam. Sure come in with a bid afew million short, try your luck but offering half is a joke.

Hes a great player its only coz he plays for a poor team and looks like a darts player. Im using Adam as an example coz hes a player weve put bids in the point im making is we always :censored: about when it comes to transfers and thays why weve missed out on world class talent in the past. It could be Messi or Savage, the quality of the player isnt the point

And? Thats all good and well if we persume other clubs are run by chimps and will give us thier players for insulting figures.

Are the Man City owners Investors? no.  Is Abramovich an investor? no.  Randy Lerner, the Villa owner is an investor.  He paid 18 million for Bent which is the more money than he's given the club in the last few years combined and the only reason he did that was because he knew that the 18 million for Bent was better than the 46 million a club expects to lose upon relegation.

The clubs that are investors don't often give large sums of money.  We should be happy NESV are giving us cash at all (or claim to be)  They have made some offers and I'm sure we will sign at least one player in the January window, but they won't pay more than what they expect to make back from any player they look at buying.

FROM SKY SPORTS

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish has admitted the club are finding it hard to prise their transfer targets out of their clubs.

The Reds have been strongly linked with a move for Ajax forward Luis Suarez as they look to bolster their attacking options before the transfer window closes on Monday.

The two clubs are thought to be miles apart in their valuations of the Uruguayan and Ajax have set a deadline of Saturday for any deal to be done.

Liverpool have also seen a bid rejected for Blackpool schemer Charlie Adam with Ian Holloway determined to keep hold of his prize asset.

Dalglish admits he would like to bring in reinforcements, but concedes it may not happen because of time and money.

"The finance is there. Everything is in place but it's difficult to get players out of other clubs at this time," said Dalglish.

"If we do not get anyone it is not for the want of trying."

The thing is it was alwyas going to be this way. A club as big as this one, with new owners vowing to restore silverware. They surely can't have expected to be getting players like Suarez at knockdown prices. If they were going for someone less established then probably yeah but he would be a marquee signing so on those occasions they may have to pay slightly over the odds.
