How the feck is this Comolli's fault, you have no idea whether he's being clever or not in driving down the price, he does have a bit more real world experience than you do in buying players so cut him some slack. I'm confident we'll get both Adam and Suarez.

Im going off reports like everyone else and thats all we have to arouse discussion here. Comolli was reported to have met with Ajax officials and I am assuming it was not do anything else other than recruit Suarez seeing as thats his job. I am assuming this failed and reports today suggest Suarez is meeting with Ajax officials to try his luck and push the deal through. You can read another report and take another view and I will make no complaint about it.

That's a hell of a lot of assumptions mate and you shouldn't ever brand anyone based on assumptions, only on facts.

As said I feel confident that we will get both our targets and if we don't then they were to expensive and not good value for money. Gone are the days of just buying players for the sake of buying players ala Rafa.

Agree, but they do seem to be leaving it late, and considering niether team wanna sell, its a little worrying, specially if they turn our new revised offers down.

Lol you gotta hand it to NESV.. they've got players begging their employers to let'em go.. and for less money.. :D

Just red that Aguero bid by Chelsea, combined with another players rejected.. combined bid = £52m that after apparently Abramovic has lost interest :(

Man they're asking for too much for both Suarez and Adam. 35 and 12 mill? Comeone... I like both of them and really hope we sign them, they'll be a great buy, but I would never give 35 mil for a single player. For Suarez the max I'd go for is 25 mill euros... maybu that's even too much, and for Charlie 6-8 mill pounds.

Ajax have apparently set a deadline of Saturday for Liverpool to complete the deal:

Very happy if this is true. I've mentioned him a few times before.

For :censored: sake

Liverpool have slammed the door shut on transfer negotiations for top targets Luis Suarez and Charlie Adam, as they despair at inflated fees for their top targets.

Liverpool are reportedly considering reviving their interest in Saint-Etienne midfielder Blaise Matuidi.

According to The Times, the Merseysiders are closely monitoring the France international as a move for Charlie Adam continues to stall.

Blackpool are growing increasingly irritated at the conduct of Liverpool in their pursuit of Adam, and the Reds are now ready to cut their losses and sound out another potential acquisition.

And, although Matuidi occupies a deeper midfield role to Adam, Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is thought to be keen to add a more defensive minded midfielder to his ranks in order to take the reigns off Steven Gerrard.

Matuidi is well known to Liverpool director of football strategy Damien Comolli, who held the same role at Saint-Etienne before moving to Anfield. and he is an outed admirer of the 23-year-old.

Matuidi is valued at around €8 million, but whether or not Liverpool are able to seal a deal for the midfielder remains to be seen.
