6 days and we offer 12.7 million for a striker Ajax value at 20 million??
What the hell are we doing?? We are gonna lose out on a bargin and probably bring in a 2nd rate striker....
If we want to bring the glory days back to our club then we need to spend like the big teams.
We miss out on Suarez now I guarentee he will join a big team in the EPL in the summer and we will be like ''We missed out there''.
Its happened in the past and its the reason we are where we are in the league!!!

I'm sick of us wasting money on players like Ngog, Lucas, Dossena, Babel, Pennant..

I hope thats true about Jova though!  But i don't believe anyone could be that stupid.

I like Kuyt as well but would be happy to see him go to Ajax as part of the Suarez deal.

We could then push Glen Johnson forward into the right wing position as I believe this is his best position. Harry did it at Pompey with him (similar to how he has done with Bale).

Would also mean not as much cash being splashed out so we could hopefully pursue other targets.

do you think maybe kenny is looking to push Gerrard out right, Adam in the middle ?

I hope not. For me, Stevie needs to be given a roaming attacking role but based in the centre, not out wide.

If he's going 4-4-2 then I can see Stevie and Adam in the centre with Johnson or Kuyt on the right and maybe Raul down the left.

Personally, I don't want to see 4-4-2. I'd prefer a 4-2-3-1:

Reina

Johnson
Carra
Agger
Aurelio

Meireles
Adam

Kuyt
Gerrard
Suarez

Torres

There is a lot of panicing and "just pay up" in this thread.

You forget this is a business deal and nobody opens negotiatins offering the asking price!  Ajax are aware he wants to leave, and also know that if they do not sell him in this transfer window his value is going to drop significantly in the summer.  We will do this deal at a better price than 30mill euros, we just need to be patient!

We are being run by proffesional business men, we need to trust them.. if it doesne work out Kenny will give them a bollocking!
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

I agree , can only assume we are having problems as the 2 main targets Suarez and Adam, the clubs are asking a lot more than we bid.

We could be waiting for Babel to go or maybe deciding on just one of the above, who knows.

Another of a so called rumour from a mate that works in solicitors.
Probably rubbish but claims that he has heard his friend works at the solicitors that deal with LFC and Suarez deal is agreed just sorting within next couple of days exactly how fee will be paid.

I am taking it with a large pinch of salt to be honest  :D

With Babel and Amoo gone (both attackers), and Jova romoured to be the subject of an attractive offer, then it does suggest that we are confident of bringing in an attacking player, otherwise we look very light.  We were not blessed with attacking options anyway!!

I think the Babel situation was on hold, and if a deal had not been possible for whoever we are bringing in, he would have stayed.  It suggests a deal is in place, and therefore he can go, and release some funds and wages to support new player signings.

This week is going to be painful.  ???

Wake up mate Liverpool always do this. Only six days left and we offer about 8-13 million less then what Ajax wont its a joke. Why are we :censored: about with Adams aswell? why didnt we just offer an extra 1.5-2 million more and get him in afew days ago? We are a :censored: joke of a club when it comes to transfers, history doesnt lie.

Has Babel done another U-turn and gone to the German side? I hope hes not doing it on purpose so we cant press on with the transfers as a middle finger to the club. I wouldnt put it past him.

Reds remain hopeful on Suarez

From our Editorial Telesport.....and Dutch publication De Telegraaf
LONDON - Liverpool hopes of a transfer to Anfield by Luis Suarez has not yet specified. The English club had Monday during a visit to Amsterdam a lofty price to hear from the Ajax line. In mentioning a sum of thirty million Amsterdam tried to make clear that the star player from Uruguay can not just leave the arena.

It seems that the irritation is beginning to come to Suarez. The player holds in terms of professionalism to the outside world his mouth about the clashes between Ajax, his agent and Liverpool. But how long he can still maintain, do not know his companions. Suarez knows that Liverpool would have traveled to the Netherlands as Ajax had made known in advance that it was not for sale or thirty million euro should cost. The fact that the two parties met yesterday, in his eyes meant that an attempt was made to connect to each other.
Liverpool must now wait director Van den Boog returns from South Africa. That's tomorrow night. After that the club has five days to seize his chance. Or Suarez has five days to force his departure. The player knows that within Ajax exerted pressure on him the whole case to dismiss and to go for the championship. Suarez, however, sees that a player like Urby Emanuelson's allowed to move to a big European club like AC Milan and PSV hole leader has risen to six points.

Cutting it fine like just hope it pays off. This is a debut for Fenway in the football transfer arena and if we are to read anything into reports then generally it doesnt sound like barn storming opener. Maybe they will come with a late run on the rails and right now thats all we are clinging on too with the clock ticking down. Trouble is weve seen several windows follow this path and when it fizzles out its another chance to wheel out Ngog and call for Pacheo to step up to the plate for the umpteenth time. Its a film I dont care to see again thankyou so please stand up to the ambition test, draw the money out and buy some fecking players already.
