I really hope Torres doesnt go but who could honestly blame him?
He came here to win trophies and we haven't done that. At the moment, we look a long way off winning a trophy. And the team he left...well they won a trophy last summer.

He has played his part by scoring lots and lots of goals. Hopefully the new owners will encourage him to stay.

But we're on a 2 - 4 year plan here and at 26, im not sure he'll want to wait around while Chelsea and Barca can offer instant success.

I watched the first half of the West Ham v Newcastle game, and the contrast between what they're being offered from the front and waht Torres is offering us so far this season is frightening. DISCLAIMER AT THIS POINT: I AM NOT SAYING THAT ANY OF THEIR PLAYERS ARE BETTER, NOR AM I SAYING WE SHOULD SWAP TORRES FOR THEM.

Anyway that over with, Newcastle have Carroll and Ameobe up front. Carroll in particular does what a good centre forward should do when you are playing away, he fights for it, he holds it up, he contests everything. In short he is a pain in the erse for the opposition defence. West Ham have that Piquione who was at Pompey and is a decent player, constantly trying to run in behind and diagonally into the channels, and Carlton Cole for whom any ball hoisted over the top is fair game. Both teams have an out ball all the time, and both teams front players get through some graft.

Torres used to for us as well. Forget all this nonsense about "it's the way we're playing" and all that sh!t as well, he used to contest everything, fight for the football, look to run in behind, argue with defenders, niggle, get on the refs case. In short he was a nasty little fecker as well as being a fecking good player. Strikers have to be. Remember the goal he got us at Old Trafford where we launched it from the edge of our area (it wasn't anywhere near a pass, it was a clearance) and he worried Vidic out of it before scoring the equaliser. We spent the whole of that game launching it to great effect (this is in no way shape or form a criticism, it was a well formed plan which exposed their tendancy to attack in too heavy a number) and Torres terrorised them. Remember the lung bursting surge which took him clear of Ferdinand and onto Benayouns slip in for the 1-0 win at Anfield? Remember not just the pace, but the run, the hunger and the fight to ward off the advances of a top class defender.

N'Gog always looks to me like a lovely lad when he plays. I'll bet he's the most polite player at the club. Babel looks like he's away with the fairies much of the time, while Torres looks like he's totally disinterested and wants away. Unless the rest of the players, the manager or Torres himself can find a way to unlock the devil and the hunger in him again, we are going to be struggling all the way until January when the window opens.

you see emerald even bigmick knows im right. All im interested in is the here and now i dont care what a player has done in the past. Theres way to much player power in my opinion. Its a TEAM sport and no individual is bigger than the club.

Im really getting sick of his stroppy antics, on his day hes awesome but if he doesnt want to be here, irregardless of who the manager is then he can f*ck off back to Spain and we can bring in a striker that has some hunger and desire to wear a Red shirt. Watching that low-life granny shaggin c*nt up the road play his club like a fiddle because he thinks hes bigger than Man Utd has really soured me on these prima donna football players that seem oblivious to what a life they actually have. Liverpool are bigger than Torres and Man Utd, sh*tebags that they are are bigger than Wayne Rooney. Player power has to stop. That is the most important issue in football at the moment, f*ck goalline technology and the offside rule - when these players think they are bigger than the clubs they play for that is a shot at us fans who pour the money into them to pay their wages, pay the extortionate Sky TV prices and replica shirts. Without fans football is dead, its time these superstars realized that fact

As a forward the least you can do is run your chunks off, close down defenders, hold the ball up because otherwise if your not scoring goals you may as well stay at home. Torres seems to think the side is there to serve him and if that doesnt happen theres nothing for him to do on the field. Rush was a master at closing people down and we go that from him every game no matter how he or the side was performing. Its a while since the lad put in a shift and no matter how good you are there comes a point when you need a bollocking and maybe thats what he needs instead of everyone tip toeing around him incase he kicks off and threatens to leave.

Theres no excuse for not doing the basics though. He`s looked totally uninterested.

Torres is fine, it's the system Roy is employing that isn't working. That system results in less chances on goal for Torres as we don't press as often as we used to. Not saying he isn't sulking but it's not fair to blame him.

I've been saying that Torres looks uninterested before he committed himself to the club. Loyal my @rse. Torres didn't win us trophies, he scored goals because its his job, We don't owe him, HE OWES us for being injured all the time. He has to buck up or else he can f*ck off.

Do you think Gerrard isn't miserable? He is even more miserable than Torres, but is Gerrard sulking this season? He has been our best player this season, and he is one of the only players who is trying his best to get us out of this sh!te. He isn't being uninterested like Torres because the club doesn't share his ''ambition''. I really don't care how good Torres is, He is a fantastic player, but I want players who wear the shirt with pride, and say to themselves ''I want to do the best for this club''.
