Our fate?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

We aren't going down the right road. Yes we need time but look at Chelsea, they got new manager, new players and they have adapted very well.

I really don't know what Benitez is trying to do here, we are not Valencia. 4-4-2 is Liverpool not 4-4-1-1. Our midfield should not have Riise,Finnan,Traore,Diao. Right now it should be Alonso,Garcia,Hamman and Warnock. When Gerrard and Nunez is back it should be Alonso,Garcia,Gerrard,Nunez. Up front Cisse and Baros.

If we plan on having good partnership up front it should be Baros-Cisse not Garcia-Cisse.

We have a complete different game plan when we play away. We might even end up 5th at the end of the season. I thought we could hang on to a 0-0 draw but it wasn't ment to be.

We seriously suck balls, we are missing Super Stevie and the poacher Owen. I don't like when a team is revolved around two players but without them we aren't looking good. No one fears us without Gerrard.

I'm getting to a point where I just don't give a damn how we play anymore. I'm started to get used to us losing when we aren't at Anfield. We definetly won't be finish above Manchester, I hate to say it but I don't see it happening.

I am not pessamistic but I am saying these things based on the 7 games we've played.

The most frustrating player is Kewell. Waste of space on the pitch.

Second thing that frustrates me is Rafa's away tactics. Stick to one game plan. If we use 4-4-2 at home use it when we're away.

If we lose to Fulham, then we are in trouble. I personally don't know if I could watch football ever again if that happens. Liverpool is the reason why I still love football and right now that love is slipping away.

Good post A.B, I agree that we should play 4-4-2 cos this 4-4-1-1 is't working and is frustrating to watch aginst the 'big' teams

Big teams? Its frustrating against smaller clubs as well. Olympiakos isn't a big club but they got the best of us.

This losing without putting up a fight must come to an end. To think that I was going to pay 20 dollars to watch this game on PPV is crazy.

Haiz...

Again we play like s.hit. Almost have a heart attack to see them play this way. A couple of things I notice about Liverpool players:
Can't pass well.
Can't cross.
Can't dribble pass defenders.
Can't hold the ball.
Always head aimlessly during a header.
Have no idea where teamates are.
Have poor set pieces.
And a whole lot more.....

If we continue to play like this, the best position we can get this season is 5 or maybe even 6. Simply poor.

We must be patient, its just the attacking in our away games that is letting us down at the mo. Remember Chelsea have spent 100+ million on players in last year whilst Rafa has had a tenth of that and lost Owen. Chelsea have a much stronger squad than us and we must give Rafa time to tinker and build. Also as he keeps saying he simply hasnt had the time to get the message across to the players and of course we are missing Stevie G.

5th place would be good, 4th would be great, 3rd would be a miracle, 2nd would be a dream, 1st would be out of this world. I think 5th-3rd is our goal as of now.

unfortunately, playing 4-4-1-1 is the price we pay for having a foreign manager. benitez played the system at valencia and he's trying to adapt it here aswell. i say play 4-4-2 both home and away because cisse and baros are never ever going to form a partnership if they never play with each other. :(

Does Rafa want them to make a partnership. Personally I feel there will be alot more changes to come in terms of squad members in Jan and next summer. Rafa is not used to the c.rap GH left behind he is clearly trying to fit sqaure pegs in round holes. Quite simply the players at his disposal are not up to standard. I honestly believe the team this time next year will look nothing like this one we saw today. He had alraedy sanctioned the sales of Traore and Finnan, Seabiscuit is now an Anfield novelty act and Diao is in the last chance salon (get it). Henchozs anfield career looks over as I suspect is Dudeks.

I was talking about Thinkpad AB. Thats why I wrote their name, as in 'I suppose you are pele Launchpad' and not 'I suppose you are Pele AB'.
