Demise of a legend ? - Fowler !

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby zarababe » Fri Oct 01, 2004 10:47 pm

I've just read an interesting interview with Jan Molby who resckons Fowler may retire from the game soon..

He's been given three weeks by Keegan to get fit.. Mobly reckons his heart is not in the game anymore...

How sad that one who thrilled us so much .. should face such an honerous demise....

I can still remember that night at Fulham league cup .. p*ssing down it was.. I was soaked.. but a young player  Robbie Fowler scored 4 goals and that's the firts time I saw the guy in action.. simply awesome he was... a star was born !!

he was never gona succeed anywhere after he left us anyway. His heart was and probably still is with us, he gave us some fantastic times. Ill always remember him the first to get given the trophey when we won the UEFA cup even though he didnt play :( I had tears in me eyes.
but he doesnt need the money anyway hes UKs second richest footballer with his property.
So why would he want to do any good for a manchester club :D

As they say..."when you leave Liverpool, the only way is down"...just ask St.Judas!

Robbie and Macca made their money in property. Their heart is no longer in there, and it showed in their performance on field.

IIf he don't need the money why's he playin (or not).

Hang on can we have some reality here, part of the deal from Leeds was for him to play so many games and then Man City have to pay a wodge more money.

The hinted that Keegan doesn't want to pay the money so they are saying he's unfit and then they will try and off load him.

From my viewings of Robbie since he left LFC he's never been the same.

It also raises the interesting question of stars in their twilight years and how they are valued.
Bribery in football helps oil the wheels, the managers take it and the fans pay for it!

... If robbie had been fit, able and doing the business on the park I'm sure any club would honour that aspect of the deal... City are right to cut their losses if the product has sufferred rather more ware and tear... then the mileage warrants ..

But point taken... City's motives could be money related.. now there's a surprise...

Molby seems to be speaking authoritatively.. to say Robbie's heart is not in the game anymore.. and the rest... a decline in fitness and motovation etc naturally follows.
