Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Funny in it how Roy spent a short time talking to Fernando , presumable about football matters , and yet Christie spend longer talking about what, What was he even doing there talking to him, He is only supposed to be here to bring investment in , and yet anything that is happening or going on at the moment Chrisie seems to be involved in, IS IT LIVERPOOL FC OR PURSLOW FC

Nan he was probably bringing him up to speed in regards to the sale of the club. Fernando has said he wants to know what is going on with the future of the club so it would make sense for them to talk but I would have assumed Hodgsen would be present for that too.

???

Anyway just found this stat courtesy of potable.

Fernando Torres scored a goal every 95 mins & 18 secs in the Premier League last term, quicker than any other player

Not according to Roy Bav, he got off and left him with Christie from Kirkdale,

Totally agree.
It pisses me off that Purse-low is doing all the talking regarding transfer talks and such with the players.

Roy is just made out to be a puppet that tells the players he wants them to stay but has 0 power to do anything really.

Think your right Bav, its not a very nice situation as a fan at this moment in time (that's an understatement) but we will just have to cross our fingers and hang on in there.

Chelsea Coach Carlos Ancelotti Rules Out Signing Of Fernando Torres From Liverpool
There's no need for another forward at the Bridge.....
By Subhankar Mondal

Chelsea coach Carlo Ancelotti has indicated that he is not interested in signing striker Fernando Torres from fellow Premier League rivals Liverpool this summer.

The Spanish international striker, who won the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa, has been linked with a move away from Anfield, with a number of top European clubs supposedly keen on signing the former Atletico Madrid forward.

Last season's Premier League winners Chelsea were one of the clubs reportedly keen on landing Torres, but Blues' coach Carlo Ancelotti has now ruled out a move for the 26-year-old.

Speaking at a press conference after Saturday's 1-0 friendly win at Crystal Palace, the 51-year-old Italian said, "I don't think we need any other strikers. Nothing has changed, because in the next few days [Didier] Drogba, [Nicolas] Anelka and [Salomon] Kalou will return - and we have [Daniel] Sturridge."

About right, I make it 96 but I wouldn't bother with seconds in a stat like that as it makes it sound 100% accurate when I'm sure it isn't THAT accurate.

Torres (Premiership) - 18 goals in 22 apps, 1723 mins

He scored more Premiership goals in those 22 apps than he scored goals in ALL COMPETITIONS in 08/09 (17 in 38 apps, 2808 mins)

Nice to see as always that speculation is rife about who says yes, who says no, who is in charge of this, who is in charge of that. There's more guesses on here than the average quiz show! (although nothing much educated about them)

Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

WTF is wrong with you people,

Rafa's gone, get over it.

Who better to take with you, to convince the star player to stay, than the man who is negotiating the sale of the club.

i don't think it would have much bearing tbh. Barca cant afford him, so it would be a choice between liverpool, manchester and london. With the exception of regularity of flights to spain, I can't see any advantage of moving to manchester / london just based on another baby.

I can smell the bitterness about rafa leaving,

it seeps out of every post made by certain members.
