That was me.
I said 'at first glance looks like it could be'
Over here in the AFL you see alot of off the bone hamstring injuries. Like i said at the time, at first glance it seemed to me like a bad hamstring injury..obviously glad I was wrong!

Why are you so sure someone just handed him the scarf? And how are you so sure he didn't give it any thought?

His country of birth had just won the highest prize in world football - how much thinking do you really believe is going on -  from any experiences I have in winning something either in a team or individual sport your in utter elation and your not thinking and just celebrating and going with the flow and enjoying the moment as you may not experience it again

So
If someone would have handed him an everton scarf he would have worn it without thinking...?

Exactly. And im sure he wasn't completely off his head like a zombie that benny is suggesting. When he won the Euros he seemed composed enough to talk about Liverpool winning the league the following season.

Sure he was elated but to think that he is just doing these things randomly without any thought is a bit disrespectful to Fernando to say the least.

Maybe once Sabre is back around he can let us know if there has been any reaction by the Spanish media to that. Once he has sobered up of course.  :D

3 years was an off the cuff number... if I had said another year with a view to more depending on how well we do would that have sounded better? Get a grip.

No it's called being open to the possibility that things may get worse looking at the overall situation of our club .

WORLD CUP winner Andres Iniesta says Fernando Torres will make his mind up about his Liverpool future in the next fortnight.
Torres will have a scan in the next 48 hours to determine the extent of the groin injury he suffered in the final. He expects to be out for up to two months.
Chelsea are unlikely to abandon the chase for him, despite seeing his fragile fitness result in him tearing his left adductor with seconds of the final remaining.
But only hours after scoring the goal that claimed Spain’s maiden world title, Iniesta revealed that new Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson will not have to wait too long for an answer from Torres.
“Fernando was fully focused on Spain and we didn’t even talk about his future until last night,” said Iniesta.
“He is going to take a break with his wife and daughter [after attending his sister’s wedding this week], speak to Liverpool and take things from there.
“Any club that has him is lucky to have him. David Villa says Torres is the most complete striker in the world and his future will be decided in the next two weeks.”

From that I would say he will stay for next season, and depending on how it goes injury wise, then his decision will be made.

If he suffers next season like last season he will leave, but it wont be to another premier league club. More than anything I would say its the style of the premier league that will determine his future.

He is not a greedy player but clearly injuries are whizzing him off. If he goes next season without as many injuries, then his future will be settled, a discussion for a new contract will be underway, if the opposite, he will be gone.
Bill Shankly: “I was the best manager in Britain because I was never devious or cheated anyone. I’d break my wife’s legs if I played against her, but I’d never cheat her.”
